Port intensive. 2 sea days. The land is lovely, especially Scotland IMHO.
Many staff seemed like they didn't like their jobs. Buffet food was often better and had more variety than dining room but they did theme nights. So..if you didn't like Indian food, or southeast asian food or whatever the night was, you were out of luck. Good pizza, hot dogs and burgers by the pool.
Best entertainment I've seen on a ship in a long time.
Not sure of category. Our cabin was aft..at the back of the ship. Very large obstruction in balcony. Asked for footstools like our friends had on their balcony and were told they could not accommodate us.
long queues to get in and our guide indicated there might not be enough earphone guides for us all. There were, but we were prepared for their not to be.
City bus around island in 90 minutes or so
HOHO bus was ok
Getting a pint at the Lamb and Flag was the best. Guinness tastes like poo in the states...it's delicious and fresh in Ireland!
ok on the bus but the highlight is you can get off the ship and you're there...in the city center. Folks are very friendly and the best thing is to start up a conversation with some locals and just enjoy a "cuppa" with them. They love their home and their happiness is contagious.
The highlight of our trip was Peter from belfasttourrs.com, a black cab. £240 but can be split comfortably with 4. These cabs are bigger inside than they look. He was such a fun fellow, we had a great time. Took us to Game of Thrones film sites as requested along with Dunrobin Castle which was the best one we saw. Highly recommend. It's worth it! Ask for Peter.
