The British Isles was chosen due to the ports it offered and because a past Princess cruise through the Panama Canal was wonderful.

Embarkation was easy and quick. But it went downhill from there.

The Caribbean Princess is not equipped to sail cooler climates. With expected rain and cooler temperatures in the British Isles, the pools and outdoor areas could not be used because of the lack of retractable roof therefore making all the common areas inside constantly noisy and crowded. There was not one quiet space to be found. The "library" was inside the internet cafe and consisted of one wall of books with 4 chairs which faced the computers desks, neither a quiet space nor comfortable.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin B1

Cabin was small. Furniture was outdated. Beds were atrocious - one had a gully and the other was so hard it was like sleeping on a board. Bathroom was outdated. Toilet leaked. When fixed the maintenance man also caulked around the sink as well as the toilet as if doing repairs that should have been done previous to arrival.

Large closet area and storage for clothes/suitcases.

Stateroom staff (Maria) was the only pleasant thing about each day. She greeted us each time she saw us with a lovely smile, asking how everything was and if she could do anything for us.

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

Walked around Cobh on our own. Lovely town. Had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant.

Dublin

Used the Hop On Hop Off bus. Great way to get an overview of the city. Got off and on at spots we wanted to visit. Commentary by guide on the bus.

Belfast

Used the Hop On Hop Off Bus. Wonderful commentary by the guide on the bus.

Liverpool

Used the Hop On Hop Off Bus. Unexpectedly interesting city. Architecture is beautiful.
