First time cruisers - early 40s, no kids. Went on an author themed cruise, booked through an agent recommended by a family member.

Ship seemed to have a number of activities, but something just didn't seem themed right for the location we were going to. I think they are still working out the kinks after coming over from Australia.

Service was attentive to the point of obsessive, particularly with cabin checks. When we did not have the do not disturb card in, I think our cabin was easily visited 5-6 times per day.

Port Reviews

Victoria

It's just a regular town. If you like victorian architecture, go walk through the neighborhoods, they're beautiful. Chinatown was neat, but a long walk from the boat

Juneau

Took no excursions. If you walk a block or 2 past the ship owned shops, you'll see a bit more of the real Juneau. Walk out to the cemetery for some cool pioneer history

Skagway

You can walk this entire town in about 4 hours, If you go all the way out to the cemetery here, walk the few hundred feet up to the waterfall

Seattle

Seattle, typical large city.
