We were used as guinea pigs!!!! This ship was NOT ready to take on passengers but did anyway. Toilets in staterooms often did not flush - reported - fixed (eventually). Basin water very tepid - reported - fixed (after a while). No orange juice in buffet for breakfast - when reported was told they had none on the ship!!!! - then it miracously appeared on the third day. Aqua show not ready and won't be for a while yet!!!! Saw a show with two comedians in the "Attic venue" - literally on for a total of thirty five minutes between them (not each) - the venue was far too small for the amount of guests onboard. ALL SHOWS had to be pre-booked - something that has NEVER happened on other cruises we have been on. Food in the buffet was not varied enough (choice I mean) and most of the time was tepid. The only good point on this ship was the food in the restaurants was very good, which we used on the last two days. There was a film channel on the TV but no guide or information as to when and what was on - I contacted the broadcast manager (well tried to on several occasions - he was elusive), but through guest services was told it was on a playlist with an eighteen hour turnaround - she said "the film you want to see should be on TV around 7pm" - so we rushed our dinner in the restaurant - just had the main course - and guess what? - went back to our stateroom and it NEVER appeared. Just another gliche. I asked about the 3D movies that were supposed to be shown - where I asked? I was told it would be in the theatre but guess what - NOT ready for this cruise!!!! My list is endless - along with MOST of the passengers on this cruise that should never have happened - there were people telling me that if they were offered a flight home from Rotterdam - they would take it - they just wanted to get off the ship - myself and my husband agreed. I spent most of the time on the phone talking to guest services about one complaint after another - stressed out - this did not help my high blood pressure at all.

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin C1

Apart from the hiccups mentioned above. The cabin had a king size bed - the large flatscreen TV on the wall in front of the bed (so you couldn't sit on the large sofa and watch it in comfort!!!!!). The wash basin was too small really. The shower was far better than others we have seen - larger in size and a large doorway (open & shut type). Wardrobe space - enough - if you don't overally pack - this was not a divided area, but wardrobes with doors on in the main room.. Plenty of drawers. Small mini fridge.

Full length mirror. Mirror also lighted above desk area with a nice chair to sit on. Small balcony overlooking Central Park which was generally a nice quiet area.

Port Reviews

Rotterdam

There was a market, which we heard was very good from others. The main town - just expensive shops really along with cafes/bars. You can catch a train near the centre for Amsterdam and other areas.
