We are frequent cruisers, platinum with Carnival and have been on many other cruise lines. But this one is FANTASTIC, an absolutely beautiful ship, every detail is stunning, you don't even know you are on a ship it is so large but SOOO easy to get around because of the ship models and signs everywhere, no problem at all. This is the largest cruise ship ever built (at the time (April 3, 2016) We hardly EVER felt the ship move at all. And loading at Port Everglades was quite easy. Do NOT bring irons, we saw many taken away.

This ship is made up of several neighborhoods like Central Park which is loaded with trees and plants and restaurants and music, beautiful. Another is the Boardwalk where there is a merry go round, ice cream and candy shops, entertainment, donut shop and the huge aquatheatre where there are big shows and movies too.

Lots of activities like the flowriders, rock climbing walls, many pools and hot tubs, HUGE adult only areas, absolutely fantastic shows like Oceanaria, Blue Planet, Ice Show, and Mamma Mia all which were top notch professional shows and left us WOWED. You MUST reserve your shows ahead of time or you will be waiting at the door and may not get in, the shows fill up fast. Note that not every show offered is there every night so make a list of the available shows and dates and times then look at when you want to go, be sure to look at port days and what you will be doing in port so it doesn't interfere with your show times. We also loved the Madagascar show during the day towards the end of the cruise. The COMEDY show was the worst, I wouldn't waste your time on that one. There is a full basketball court, game rooms, mini golf, ice skating, lots of ping pong tables, trivia games, bingo, the PARADE on your first sea day SHOULD NOT be missed, it is an absolute MUST!! There is karaoke, dance clubs, lots of stuff for kids and teens, line dance and Caribbean dance classes, a full jogging track around the entire ship, the largest fitness center we have ever seen on a cruise with TONS of machines and weights. And of course there is a SPA with all kids of treatments, this is the first time we didn't visit the spa so not sure how good or big it is. The PROMENADE area is like no other ship ever built, it is more like a mall with shops and restaurants lining each side. There are numerous bars and music all over the ship.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D5

The rooms are SMALL compared to other ships and the bathroom is TINY. I don't know how large people shower as I only weigh 165 and it was hard for me to get a shower. It was hard for my husband to maneuver around in the morning getting ready. The closet is adequate, not the largest we have seen. We actually bring our clothes on our own hangers so unpacking is easier but we had to move their hangers out of the closet. There is plenty of room for several suitcases under the bed. The balcony is ok, not large. If you have rooms next to each other, you can request the divider be removed so you share a balcony together. The quietness of the room is the absolute best we have EVER had on any trip, hotel or cruise. It is almost sound proof in your room. We didn't hear hardly ANYTHING the whole cruise. There is a hair dryer for ladies and a plug for men's razors. We were in cabin 12622 which was mid ship, perfect for us. This room is Starboard and we faced the land in every port. We did not let the room steward in all week so I don't know how well he would have done. I recommend you bring your toiletries in small travel sized bottles as the shower only has one shelf not really big.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

3 hour boat tour through Millionaire Row viewing tons of boats, millionaire homes and yachts, some worth 60-90 million dollars then stop at small island with animals and birds and alligator show and option to buy lunch

Labadee

nice ride in the ocean along the shoreline, mostly mountains, not too much to see. Fisherman approach the boat with fish, lobsters, etc. Nice sailboats go by too. Nice tour, not a high rush

Falmouth

nice plantation and house tour, horse drawn carriage ride, rum tasting. You can pay extra to do ziplining, river tubing (not exciting, all tubes are tied together and go very slow) and 4 wheeler rides.
