I went on 7days Western Carribian cruise with my 23 years old son and we both are disappointed with princess. We sailed with Princess and other cruise lines in the past and it was probably the least favorite cruise we ever took. We had inside room R207 and it was very good, plenty of space , nice bed, excellent hand held show and bathroom was decent size. The embarkation was very long, we arrived at 1030am, and stood 45min in line outside just to get to the cruise terminal.

The ship is very nice and clean, piazza is wonderful place to hang out, but has very limited seats to observe the parade or on formal nights. The bars around the Piazza are great and have very good selection. The best is international café where you can get coffee, amazing variety of teas and have breakfast, lunch or just a snack 24 hours. The layout of Regal is pretty good, much better than Royal, at least you can get across the ship on Desks 5,6,7 where all the public areas and restaurants are located.

The food was okay, I've seen much better food on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. The buffet is horrible, you feel like you are in the labyrinth and trying to get out from it is a very complicated task. It is a challenge to find your table if you went to get something else, you can't figure out which way to go in that maze. The buffet selection was pretty much the same for breakfast every day and almost the same for lunch. The dining room food was a little bit better but service was extremely slow, it took 2 hours to eat dinner almost every night.

Port Reviews

Princess Cays

complete waste of money, did not see anything.

Grand Turk

great tour, nice experience.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Wonderful tour, stingray city was wonderfull, excellent snorkeling site and friendly crew on the catamaran.

Cozumel

Amazing experience, Chankanaab national park is great, there is a beach, pool in the park and a lot to do and you can spent the whole day there after your dolphin encounter is finished, the park visit is included in the price of the tour.
