We spent 4 days pre-cruise in Quebec. Our hotel was outside the gates to Old Town and we had a wonderful time exploring the city. Embarkation was a breeze. The Caribbean Princess is a bit worn out. Some of the public areas needed sprucing up. Our cabin had worn out carpeting and there was mold in the shower. The ship crew was not as friendly as previous Princess cruises we've been on. They seemed to be tired out as well. This is especially noted in anytime dining in the Island Dining room, where some of the wait staff were unfriendly. Wait time to enter into the dining room was long, especially on formal nights. We were there as soon as the dining room opened, and it looked like large parties had seating priority while smaller parties such as ours were asked to step to the side and wait. On the first formal night, we waited more than 20 minutes to be seated. Others in line left and other passengers we talked to were as unhappy with the lack of service as we were.

Tender service to ports such as Bar Harbor and Newport, RI had very long boarding times/lines. This is exclusive of immigration in Bar Harbor. Chaotic at times and not well organized.

Food at the buffet was ok, but not up the standards of other Princess cruises we've been on. Some of the food served was not hot enough. There wasn't as much on-board activities to choose from on sea days. On the bright side, we enjoyed the ports we visited and had decent weather for the most part.
