Well organised cruise. Fully informed of all tours offered which were included in the cost plus optionals. Friendly efficient staff who went beyond their role descriptions to make sure clients needs were met - no request was too much trouble. We were on one of the cruises that unfortunately was affected by low was levels on the Danube. The only inconvenience for us was packing our bags half way through the cruise. Viking were very well organised and moved us to our new ship while we went on our tour for the day. Our new ship was identical to the original one. Same confugiration, just a different name and different staff with the exception of our Cruise a Director and Tour Director. This move must have been a logistic nightmare for Viking but only a slight inconvenience for us. Of course some people were not happy but that's the perils of travel, some time things don't always go to plan.

Overall food and service was excellent. Service did vary between the two ships but it was still good. Viking compensated us for the inconvenience by paying for us to attend a concert in Vienna. For us that was lovely as we were initially not going to attend this optional extra but were so pleased we did. The cruise was probably not as relaxing as we had thought it would be only because we did all the tours which were included in each port, plus some optional extras. Walking on European cobblestone is a killer. We also caught the bug that went through the ship as well which slowed us down for a couple of days. Mainly Americans, few Canadians, couple of New Zealanders, 8 Aussies. Lovely way to see European towns from a different perspective.

Cabin Review

French Balcony Superior

Cabin C

Cabin was clean, tidy. Maybe a bit small and if we could have had one with a verandah it would have been better but even though we booked 12 months in advanced there weren't any available.
