Copenhagen to New York the long way round. Our 4th HAL cruise and 2nd on Eurodam.

After flying BA to Copenhagen, stayed for two nights at Hilton Copenhagen Airport and spent a evening and day exploring the city using frequent train/metro Took a taxi to the ship (400 Dkr) as it seemed the easiest way as cruise terminal is along way from the centre on reclaimed land. After security, a quick check in - we were in a Signature Suite - then directed to cabin on deck 6 spacious & spotless - as all the ship was - king bed, table with small flower arrangement, armchair, desk & chair ,dressing table, fridge & TV; a bath robe, slippers and umbrella were there too. Bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, shower and twin basins well provided and replenished with Elemis toiletries; balcony had two armchairs and footstools and small table & two chairs. The fruit bowl was filled to our choice and kept topped up and flowers were refreshed by our efficient & unobtrusive stewards who kept the cabin sick & span.

Went to Mariner's lunch and on return luggage had arrived and unpacked into plentiful wardrobe & drawer space. 3pm. muster drill on deck, by 4pm. off we go following the Vikings past Kronberg castle aka Elsinore in Hamlet.
