My husband I have cruised with Carnival for 5 cruises and we have decided that it is time to try something different. Elation was our very first cruise ship so it does have some sentimental value but with that being said we probably won't return to it unless they give it a complete overhaul and move it to a different port of departure.

The ship does have a lot of wear and tear. If you are looking for a new ship with all the bells and whistles, this one is not for you. The staff was great with a couple of exceptions. The majority of the crowd it draws is young adults looking for a good time. The vibe is hip hop and mo-town. If you like hip hop dance music with a lot of booty shaking (of every kind and not shyly I might add) then this is the cruise for you. If you are looking for the relaxing, Caribbean theme vibe from a cruise with some class...keep searching. The majority of the crowd that ship draws is young adults and young families. I have never in my life witnessed a ship full of people that were more ill mannered than this group. There was no respect for the ships property, crew or other passengers. This shows in the wear and tear of the ship and crew. I actually felt sorry for the crew.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6C

Smallest cabin we have ever stayed and needed a really good dusting but over all it was fine for a 4 day trip. The sink had standing water in it whenever it was used. The decor is "tired" and well used.
