Our first cruise on the Pride of America through the Hawaiian Islands was a success from start to finish. Our cabin, the dining options, the onboard activities, on shore excursions and the 5 star service from beginning to end made this a "best" vacation. we will treasure the photos and the memories for months/years to come. We arrived 3 days early and spent time on Oahu exploring Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Cultural Center and Kailua. We stayed at the Outrigger on Waikiki, where the sunsets were gorgeous and Duke's for breakfast and for a nightcap was a huge bonus.

We board the POA on a Saturday morning; easy and efficient process, complete with orchid lei and our first official cruise photo; so many more of these to come, we brought home a package of 20 to remember our cruise.

Freestyle Dining exceeded our expectations. No set dining time, required seating; we had options for every meal, on each day. The variety was excellent. The only thing we missed was a Mexican food option, but POA has Tacos every Tuesday in the Aloha Café.

Great experience, in spite of a torrential downpour

We took the tender ashore, walked the shops, and returned to the ship to relax and take advantage of pool and sun.
