I am one of the few people who does not have many negative things to say about anthem. My wife and I are emerald members of the crown and anchor society so have done several RCL cruises. We took our best friends who had never cruised before so were worried after reading all of the bad reviews.

Boarding was quick even though they had problems with computer. It took about 40 minutes and we were on the ship and what a ship she is. Nothing like any other RCL ship we have been on. We had the basic drinks package as did many others and yes there were several merry people but at no stage did we think it was like 'butlins'. I am not sure why people use it as a comparison.

The food in the windjammer, the American icon grill, Silk and Devanly Secadence was spot on. As was the café 270. We saw 'We will rock you' and 'spectras caberet' & we thought both were fantastic. Staff were friendly but I do agree that getting a drink took longer than we have normally experienced. We noticed that there were not many waiters walking around to serve you but it did not cause a problem. The staterooms were beautiful and had plenty of storage for a longer cruise. we went in the pod which was good but we were in port and it was raining so not the best time to ride it. We also did the 'I fly' which was amazing and the guys who work there were great. leaving the ship was also painless, it took about 10 minutes and were off.
