Embarkation was a nightmare. My daughter and husband names were mixed up so he was Miss and she was Mr - they needed to leave us waiting for around 20 minute to make the changes. The marquee was chaotic and hot. The check-in desks too close together. The walk on to the ship didn't WOW! me like it did with our last cruise (RC Liberty of the Seas). But I was impressed with the cleanliness and courteous staff. We were told the only food at that time was the burger bar - we were all starving - burgers were fab! But nothing other than burgers or hotdogs there and not enough seats/tables. We then found out the buffet was in fact open! Itinerary was good - unfortunately the weather prevented us from stopping at Mykonos - shame as we were looking forward to beach and swimming in the sea! Santorini was awful - felt like cattle. Hated every bit. Sea days were fine - although agree with most other reviews the pools too small and cramped sunbed areas. we found some spots on the upper sun decks. One pool was closed for a day as someone vomited in it - meant the other pool even more cramped! They should have allowed kids in the indoor pool and made the outside pool for adults only! Grassy area seemed a waste of space. As did all the fancy shops - where I never saw a soul in! As a foodie family we were really excited about the food - the buffet was great plenty of choice and abundant. Mostly fresh and crisp salad - although ready made salads far too much dressing drowning them made them limp! Opus - we had set dining - food was mediocre - not amazing - too salty and sometimes flavourless. Some creations were so gross! Desserts all awful! Waiter staff wonderful! Drinks package still prevented some drinks being purchased and some cocktails - embarrassing at the bar when they tell you you can't have it in your package. Kids - our 3 teens had a wonderful time - made loads of friends. I object to this: our kids (12,14 &17) are considered kids on the cruise - i.e. under 21. But when you book a shore excursion (we booked 1, the tour to Herculaneum) anyone over 12 years is adult price! Theatre shows - in the evening these needed to be available to those dining later too - they only show times were 7.15 or 9.15 (or something like that). Our table sitting was 8.45 - we were not out of the dining room until around 10.30 and shows over then! Fitness room - too small - not enough equipment, especially on sea days!

Relaxing; kids had a wonderful time but not quite amazing!
