Just returned from an excellent and stress-free cruise on the Reflection. The itinerary is the 11 Night Eastern med cruise that includes the overnight in Istanbul and feature 3 sea days and some mid-morning arrivals in port, which makes for a relaxing cruise.
We had taken a Guaranteed Veranda booking and were delighted to get a 1B level stateroom (9105), which was on the front port side of the ship, one level below the wing of the bridge, which gave us a view of the activities up there during the docking and leaving port, along with the occasional cheery wave from Captain Bouzakis. The stateroom was in excellent order and well maintained by our excellent stewards, Mario and Warden, to whom nothing was too much bother.
The ship itself shows little signs of wear and is constantly being cleaned and kept in fine order. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, I cannot make an adverse remark about any of them, while the officers and catering managers were always seen about the ship and were more than happy to answer any queries.
The cabin is a standard S Class Veranda, with the bed next to the bathroom. The storage is good, but the two over the bed lockers are awkward to reach. The veranda is a good size and has two reclining chairs and a round table. You are one deck below the bridge and three cabins back from the front, so you can look into the wing of the bridge above and ofcourse they can look in at you, but it is rarely occupied when at sea.
