It's our first time to cruise. We chose RCL because my sister-in-law highly recommended it. We sailed with my brother's family and their friends last July 2015 -Freedom of the Seas Western Caribbean. Overall, my family enjoyed our time. The crews were all friendly and always willing to serve. We never had a dull moment. There were a lot of ongoing events on the ship. During embarkation, it rained a bit. Our luggages arrived around 3pm in our cabin. While unpacking our clothes, I noticed that our luggages were partly wet and some clothes inside were wet. We told guest services and they right away offered to laundry our stuff for free.
We had an adventure that we did not sign-up for....our ship caught fire Wednesday morning while we were docking at Falmouth, Jamaica... I can say we were fortunate that this happened in the morning and near the port. The captain and his crew handled it well. The captain kept us updated every 15 minutes of the situation. Releasing us from the ship took time because there were these 3 passengers that they could not account for....we were finally allowed to get out of the ship around noon. Downside is that some excursions have to be cancelled and our stay in Jamaica was shortened. Apparently they were able to fixed the problem and we continued our cruise without a hitched.

Cabin size was good for 3 people. We did not feel cramped. Balcony size is ok. Our stateroom attendant Jeorge, made sure our room is clean. We had 3 checked in luggages that we place underneath the bed and 2 carry-on luggage that we stored in the closet. Bathroom size is decent and was clean. They provide free soaps and shampoo.. You will need to bring your own conditioner.
