We have sailed many times with Princess and enjoyed the experience. This trip was a disaster. We traveled with our grandson and on initially entering the cabin we could not believe how small it was and only two single beds. After inquiry we found the third bed a drop down from the ceiling. Once down there was limited access two the balcony and writing table. Unfortunately it was in the down position for most of the first seven days of our trip due to the inability of maintenance to rectify a faulty hinge. When we could access the balcony it was extremely small, utile for only two people. The steward assigned to our cabin was on his first trip and was overwhelmed with the cabin problems and his general duties which reflects poorly on the princess training program. The food and service were good as was the entertainment. It was evident that all areas of the ship was under strain with a fully booked ship and that was reflected in lack of service in some areas. Four days before the end of the cruise a gastro infection broke out and my wife caught it. Passengers were confined to cabins and the cabin disinfected. We did not see any medical staff. After about 24 hrs some medication was sent to the cabin(we were billed $18.50 for the ships infection) My wife was still sick the day we departed the ship. The teen program did enable my grandson to get away from the cabin and did occupy a lot of his time.
Lots to see, easily accessible and inexpensive
Only drawback was high volumes of people
Pretty village with many flowers, good for photos
