We have traveled on several cruise line and think Princess is the most bang for your buck. We did a 14 day Scandinavian Cruise on Caribbean Princess. We enjoyed a balcony cabin on the Rivera Deck. Our cabin steward was accommodating without being intrusive. When we ordered breakfast in our cabin, it arrived on time and the hot things were hot and the cold things were cold. The ship is huge! Something we don't particularly like. The entertainment was so so. The embarkation process in Southampton was well managed. Our cabin was big enough, the bathroom was big enough.
We chose this trip because of the ports of call...spectacular. We only used the ship's excursions once for the trip from Gadayna to Gdansk. We found the ship's excursions to be expensive without value received. The food is a cut above average especially in the specialty restaurants...they can get pricey. One thing we found we did not like was the pushiness of the shops on board. All in all, a great cruise.
Clean and well maintained by our steward. Could do with an update. Chairs showed wear.
Since we had spent a week in Bruges a couple of years ago, we did what one is suppose to do in Bruges: eat chocolate, drink beer, eat muscles and fries. We did take a canal cruise...wonderful.
We made our way into town with a shuttle, although you can walk the short distance to town from the ship. We loved just poking around, looking in shops and enjoying the atmosphere. The 'Sweater Wall' was a good place to shop for winter sweaters. The amber shops were nice too.
We loved the Little Mermaid and the church where all the Kings and Queens were buried. Had a lovely lunch not far from there.
