Stood overnight in Mismi at the Intercontinental which was conveniently located near a mall and close to port not to mention it's a beautiful hotel.

The embarkation was pretty organized for the most part and actually entertaining. Once on, our cabin was ready and we had lunch at the lido. Our cabin steward Omar was awesome. He learned our names right away. Our dining room waiter Santos was great as well. Always available at our request and willing to please us. The itinerary was the prime reason for us my family of four, to have gone on this ship. The reason I rated it as average is because of the daily activities. We found ourselves taking naps throughout the day because we could not find anything worth while to do besides eat. There were good comedy shows but they filled up very quickly leaving a lot of people standing around. Only saw one theater show which was not good at all. Main pool was much too small for almost 5,000 people so we avoided that. No available chairs to be found either way. Food options were good up until about 2:30 pm anything after that was so limited. The cruise director was very entertaining. Cruise cleanliness was excellent! Breakfast options were so standard it became very boring. The rope course on the sports deck was never opened once throughout our 8 days. Could not understand why when we have sailed other lines and that was actually a best seller for the teens. Pre teen and teen clubs rarely did any supervised activities with the kids pretty much just sent them on their own. Teens were roaming around until the wee hours. Royal Caribbean does a good job enforcing a curfew on kids under 19. Carnival needs to really try to implement that. Loved the band that played daily at the atrium and the dj who occasionally played at the deck. The deck parties were slot of fun as well. The night club at times would become so overcrowded that dancing was almost impossible. I actually got stepped on by one of the crew members at the nightclub so hard I bleed. Crew staff would routine the club at night in large groups. Must try Guy's burger, La Cucina, Fahrenheit, pizza pirate. Never got around to trying the sushi eatery. Getting on and off the ship on port days was really disorganized. Water slides were fun. Price of liquor on the ship was actually better than port shops. 4D theater worth trying but fills up quickly as it only has about 4 rows of 6 seats. This ship had its pros and cons. Overall found it average due to the lack of entertainment or activities.
