Third cruise on Carnival, still trying to figure if it's Carnival or just those sailing from Galveston. Sail date of 10 May and this cruise had more rowdy kids running around during the middle of the school semester than had last year on another line out of Houston during spring break week. Even though there are signs posted shirt and shoes for entering the buffet people still belly up with no shirt to fill a plate. Same in the main dining room. I guess your clean T-shirt is your dress up. If you're not going to enforce a standard why post a standard?

Wanted to try and change from late dining to early, but couldn't find the maitre d'. Did eventually change had to go to the service desk and they left him a message. Trying to figure why when most people cruise as couples or foursomes why Carnival likes the long 10 top tables? Food first night was so-so. There were a few nights with good selection and good food but generally nothing special. The French Onion Soup had one slice of onion and wasn't very warm. The Tandoori station on the Lido Buffet was a good choice for lunch. Line for the Mongolian Wok usually took 30 minutes to get through.

Whoever does the scheduling of activities needs some guidance. Only one production show embarkation day. Main production shows started at 8:15 and ran for 45 minutes. Comedy shows in Punchliner started at 9:00 and was all the way to the rear of the ship. Room used for Punchliner was really poor choice. Has six pillars in middle of room, bench seating was semi-circle that had your back to the performer. Stage was same level as the main floor. Had to come in though a side door then out another. To wait for the next show had to start lining up in the Piano Bar and line rand down the hall. All around really poor planning and design. The big guest act that was a day late that everyone was thinking was going to be all that did the exact same tricks as Penn & Teller do in Vegas.

Nice standard interior cabin. Was worried about noise coming from the buffet one floor up but never heard anything from there. Room was actually under a serving line. Had more noise from people running up and down the stairs. For most part room was quiet and comfortable. A/C worked well. Closets didn't allow for much space.
