Embarkation was good but it went downhill from then.Ship is same as Ventura but service not on a par with P@O. Food was average but nothing special and entertainment apart from a tribute band was poor.We had a first stop in Belgium which was good and weather was fine although they did charge for transfers but we used the tram and avoided this. Then it was Copenhagen we were docked 3 miles away and had to have the shuttle at a cost of USD 16 per person. We were here as we thought overnight but the ship left at 4 am and the shuttle service finished at 10pm the day before If you wanted to stay out you had to get a taxi back.
P@O do charge for shuttles if you paid a cheaper price but we had paid full fare so were taken aback by this charge for a shuttle.
The next stop was Sweden Helsingborg but due to high winds we did not stop but it did not look at all bad but hey ho I am not the one in charge. Then it was Oslo but it was raining so you needed a bit of on board entertainment and that was were it really fell down. Apart from a Beatles tribute band the entertainment was poor for the whole trip.No tea making in cabin.
Cabin was clean and well looked after by our steward Bernardo who worked very hard and deserves a mention
You can take a short walk to tram stop and for 5 euros travel all day on the line that goes to next town for train to Brugge or on to Ostend and then on further to La Penne
Very easy to get about and local prices were very reasonable for drinks and food.
Terminal had nothing no shops etc and main area was a good three miles away you were forced to take the shuttle and it is the worst stop for anyone who has mobility problems .Cobbled streets very hard for wheel chair users we stopped to help a couple and the lady had to get out of her chair as we got it stuck in cobbles and we could not lift the chair out even with three adults trying also lots of push bikes who just knock you over if you don't watch out.
The port is close to main areas but it was raining and the pavements were very slippery and lots of open drains and uneven pavements meant you had to look at the ground rather that the buildings etc We do not have any mobility problems but lots on the ship did have and must have impacted on them.
