Boarding at Southampton was fine.I found the ship to be in good order and nicely furnished with a lovely atrium.Cabin was on deck 10,balcony.Very bad design of the balconies that you can look down onto others,no privacy.Cabin was rather small but for a week it was ok.Not happy you had to pay for drinks out of the cabin fridge when i had the free drinks package. Why should it matter where i get my drink from ? bar or cabin should be free.
If you are a smoker avoid this ship ! it ruined my cruise as the ship is big and having to trek to limited smoking areas onboard was a pain.Give me Fred Olsen anyday where i have total ease and comfort of never having to leave my cabin and can smoke on the balcony.
All staff i met were very polite and friendly.Palm dining room was excellent, not much different to Cunards Queens Grill.Great food and attentive service.
Rather small.Balconies overlook others so limited privacy.
Rained so rather miserable.Hop on hop off buses at dock were very expensive so walked into town 10 mins. Not very inspiring.Rather dull and boring and cafes etc very expensive.Usual tat shops.Trolls and vikings etc.Not for me.
Took shuttle to Blankenberg then train to Brugge.Too far to walk into town. The train ride return was cheaper then the shuttle bus ! Crowds of people as 2 big cruise ships in.
