We were on this ship a couple of years ago on a Mediterranean cruise. It was a nice ship then and it is just as nice since the dry dock. Some of the décor has been updated, but the original style of the ship seemed intact. The ice show was a new one and it was great. The previous one was one of our favorites, so it would have been nice to keep it, but maybe it will get transferred to one of the new ships.

The itinerary was a standard western Caribbean one, so there is not much new to say about Cozumel, Grand Cayman or Falmouth. The only notable thing was the surprise thunderstorm at Grand Cayman that drenched everyone and caused shore excursion cancellations. The tender ride back to the ship was wet and cold!

This class of ship has a great Windjammer buffet design and the Navigator's is one of the best, with a really good Asian section and an attentive staff. When I mentioned to Lloyd in the Windjammer that there was no grapefruit, he saw to it that it was there every subsequent day. On a previous Freedom of the Seas cruise they just shrugged their shoulders and did nothing. Well done Lloyd! Magdalena was also a great server with a super personality. The Sapphire dining room food and service was also very good and the lobster platter was the best I have had in a long time.
