This was the third time on the Summit. I prefer hands down the Solstice class. We have taken this ship three times because it was going where we wanted to go. We have sailed other Solstice class ships and knew the Summit was old and tired. We got from this cruise what we wanted and that was a low key, laid back, enjoy the ocean type experience. We were not seeking entertainment (as we know Celebrity entertainment sucks) just a respite that only the ocean can provide.

Dining: We did not eat in MDR except the first night. We had no intentions of ever partaking in a sit down meal. Our experience in the past that the MDR is totally over rated, service is slow and food mediocre. Food is food, it sustains you. It is not the reason we take a cruise. WE happily found food on the Oceanview buffet that met our needs.

Cabin: Just ok. Tile needed scrubbing, no ice in ice bucket, minimal attention. Just make the bed up and move on.
