We're from California and it's always hard to travel to the east coast for a cruise but the wife booked the flight and forgot we were sailing out of Miami and booked a flight into Ft. Lauderdale so I found a nice resort to stay the night prior to the cruise about 1/2 way between Ft. Lad and Miami....Getting to Miami is easy with a cap about 20 bucks got us there and dropped off the luggage and got in line. Long story short for the embarkation, only took about 30 minutes to get card and on the ship, rooms were ready when we got on board, we got there around 1:30ish......

Rooms are nice , we got a Cove Balcony deck 2...I like the balcony but.......had some kind of noise we never could figure out below and above us....didn't really keep us from sleeping but at times was noisy....ride was smooth since being low on the ship.....

Being a big ship it was easy to get around, the adults only serenity was kinda a joke, too small always crouded and no pool....people reserving the lounges longer than they were suppose to and Carnival not enforcing their policy. We only walked around and left. Actually the best place for adults is the aft end pool which rarely had kids there. The mail pool was always crouded, at times we looked down and you couldn't even swim because of so many people in the pool
