  • Cabin Type: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Drove to Tampa for Vision of the Seas. Used the Parktologists/Parking Doctors. Saved $$$ on parking. Ask if they have a discount. Gave us $5 off because Facebook code didn't work. Speedy delivery to the port about 10:30 a.m. They may email to have driver drop off your party 1st at port. Not necessary. Easy pickup at pier post cruise, but a short wait. $56 plus tax. Speedy check in at port.

Cruise ship SMALL! Allure & Oasis have so many more quality things. I'd skip this ship and so would our 4 other friends. A disappointment and not worth the $$ with balcony.

Ports OK. Just shopped. Belize poor and better to just stay at shops at drop off or do an excursion. Room smaller than some ships.

Ist night at dining an extra couple showed up with our table #. 2nd night same thing but different couple. The 3 couples (us) were linked rooms, so we won out. 1 guy said I am not moving. A bit uncomfortable for us. Waiter handled it with mgmt.

Waiter suggested best choices each night. Very helpful! Noteworthy that Royal Caribbean changed their food Dec. 2013 and it was bad on other ship. Mgr. told us. It was like "What the heck is up with the food?" Mgmt. said it was changing across the fleet. Well, it changed for the worse and Vision was proof positive!!! Waiter said they now bring in frozen food that is reheated and got rid of most of cook staff.

Strip steak not medium as asked for. Tough & dry. 2nd one same. Got a funky rice dish. No better. Sea bass floating in 2 1/2" of water, lobster small tails and parts were mushy and could not eat. All little taste. Salmon dry, overcooked & tasteless. Beef tenderloin was walkin' it was so rare. Tiger shrimp mediocre. Salads barely covered bottom of of bowl. The items chosen were better options, so I would have not liked the worse. Some desserts good. Others kind of like mousse from a mold. All pies have premade frozen shells. Labeled mile high. Not!!

Breakfast in Windjammer OK. Omelets good. French toast and pancakes renamed to hockey pucks. A lot of weird choices at lunch. One day only salad with pizza was doable. Pool lunch 1 day was squid, clams, calamari and super minimal shrimp with rice and tiny veggies. Squid and calamari tough. Shrimp missing from my plate. Mostly rice. Slightly edible.

Wet Wednesday. Friend's room flooded upon return from show 10:30 pm. 1 1/2 -2" water squishing 1/2 way to balcony from next door room drain overflowing. Called maintenance pronto. Came at 10:45 pm (a good thing) to suck water out of carpet. Very loud! Laid towels all over room for 2 days and ran large fans all day and into evening. By Fri. mostly dry. Offered comp of two meals in specialty restaurant. They refused. Wanted 6 of us since we all eat together. Gal said to go sit for ten minutes and come back up to main desk. They did. She had left for the night! Fumes coming out of ears. Went back next am and spoke to a guy and told whole story. Finally offered 6 comps so we picked Chops $$$ restaurant worth $35 each. Fantastic well prepared & delicious food. Best of the week!

Entertainment: Tribute to Motown group was good. Ventriloquist from "Soap" good, magician from America's Got Talent good. 2 R. C. singer dancer shows weak. Lively, energetic but singers off key and not like the usual HAIRSPRAY or CHICAGO Broadway plays. Murdered the Abba songs by changing them into their own. No ice show/no rink & no water show/no dive pool. Aerial act for 15 min. 2 times in centrum that you couldn't see they were so high up.

Usual 70s disco party with guys who do "YMCA" held in Centrum & you could look from 4 floors and crowded. Not like Allure/Oasis!

Best activities offered on ship were on shore days and we were on shore. Few interesting things offered unless $$ related.

We are pretty much decided R. C. is all about making money and doesn't care if you are short changed by poor food and big balcony prices! Price was close to the big ship prices without all the amenities of Allure and Oasis.

Between the 3 couples we have about 38 cruises under our belts. We have Royal Caribbean credit cards to earn points which amounts to almost nothing. Adios Royal Caribbean. You have made your point with us.YOU DON'T CARE! See MANY more complaints about Royal Caribbean by googling Complaints about Royal Caribbean. It is even worse. You will be astounded.

FOOD was the biggest issue every day. I would look at the dinner menu ahead of time and would be so disappointed at the poor choices and when we got them it was worse than I thought. All 3 couples who travel on cruises together are disgusted with Royal Caribbean and appalled that they have cheapened the food so much and bring in frozen crap and call it something exotic to fool you. Well they didn't.
