This was not our first cruise but our 20th. However, this was our first on any Princess ship. Other cruise lines advertise a WOW experience and pretty much achieve that, but when we arrived at the airport in Fort Lauderdale and met the Princess rep WOW started to have an very new meaning. We have a fairly high loyalty status on a couple of other cruise lines so we are familiar with the perks of that, but were not prepared for the same treatment with no status. From the moment we arrived a the terminal to the time we boarded the ship took less time than our priority status on other lines. Every individual that we met during boarding and going to our cabin appeared to be glad we were there.
Our next BIG surprise came when we went to the buffet for lunch. NO where on any other ship did we find such a perfect flow thru the lines. Our surprise continued when we went to find table to sit at. Everything looked like someone was sitting at them the tables were all set for service (as usually found on other lines), but one of the servers saw our confusion and told us that that is how the buffet was designed to work. The setting were for anyone to sit at, and then they brought you your iced tea or coffee or water no fighting at the coffee stations. What a concept (loved it).
The cruise itself was fantastic and Grand Cayman was quite nice. The ship itself was quite amazing. My biggest highlight was the enormous LCD display for the movies (they even showed the divisional football playoff) on the big screen (I want one of them). The normally worst part of any cruise is the disembarkation process, I have never been so delighted with any such process as I was this time. Within 30 minutes of our tag color being called we not only had our luggage but were through US Customs and were on the bus for the airport (never had it happen that quick.
This cabin is large enough to accommodate 2 people. The only thing that was lacking was the size of the shower. Literally if you dropped the soap you had to get our to pick it up. Oh well you just don't drop thesoap. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the Baja deck was great, You were high enough that your balcony could not be viewed from above like some of the ones on the lower decks. NIce room.
