We cruised out of the new cruise terminal out of Port Canaveral it was a very easy embarkation from the time we got to the port till we were walking on the ship was about an hour. The Explorer is a beautiful ship however you can tell that she is showing some age the carpets were discolored and there were a few stains on furnishings but all and all the ship was very clean. Our room was ready at about 1:00pm and was also very clean our room attendant was wonderful we had a problem with our TV that he had fixed by the time we got back from dinner the first night. Our wait staff was good but not great it seemed to me that these poor people had way to much to handle and were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Our head waiter was great though Jo was at out table every night and was always joking and fooling around with us we all just loved her. We thought the food was great in the main dinning room the windjammer was good but your typical buffet. We had lunch at Johnny Rockets on one of our sea days and loved it. Our first stop Was CoCo Cay and I loved it. The weather was great and the island was everything that I expected from a tropical paradise this was my favorite part of the cruise. Our next stop was Cozumel Mexico were we got off the ship and took a trip down town for some shopping, again we could not have asked for better weather. We spent about 4 hours just exploring downtown and having a great time my husband fell in love with this port. The entertainment on the ship was very good. We seen the head liners These Guys and had a really good time, the ice show as always was the highlight of the cruise. It was a wonderful vacation on the explorer and the seas and I can not wait to do it again.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Were were in room 9244 it was very easy to get to right outside the elevators. We had a balcony room and it was definitely worth it. The room was very clean and we had plenty of closet space. We loved sitting on the balcony at night and most of the time when we were in the room we kept to door open so we could hear the sound of the ocean. the only issue I had with the room was that the bed was very hard I was expecting a much softer mattress.
