My dad decided that he didn't want to cruise alone, so off we went. Since this was my first cruise, I didn't know what to expect. We started in San Juan with a tour of the Bacardi Rum distillery, and if you have never been, I highly recommend it! Such a fun tour! Then, we got to the port for the cruise and got on the ship fairly quickly! Since my dad is has a bad hip, he had to have a wheelchair to embark and disembark the ship, and the staff were amazing when it came to getting him off and on the ship. What we got for a interior room exceeded our expectations! We had an interior promenade state room, and it was awesome! We were on deck six, and it was perfect. We could see all the action happening below, but still feel like it was quite private. Our room steward was fantastic, as he covered every request that we had (we wanted the bed separated into two twins) and his towel animals were such a treat. I found that the rooms was more than adequate. We found room to put out luggage, and there was more than enough space to put all our stuff in the bathroom.

There was always something to do on the ship, so we were never bored. I was surprised to see how many activities that were going on at one time, so you could always find something to do. We participated in the karaoke, trivia nights, and went to the night clubs. We also saw movies on the big screen, and even in the theater downstairs. We also went and saw the ice show, and the comedy show, and they were both great. On the last night, I went to the game show, and had a blast! We went on tours in every port that we stopped in, and asking the ship staff which tour company to use was a breeze.

The dining was, what can you say about the dining. We went with traditional dining, and the waiters that we had were just fantastic. They were quite knowledgeable, and funny! The head waiter, he did a magic trick for our table each night, and kept us well fed and happy. Even with the one lady at our table, who was an extremely picky eater, they managed to take care of her every need.

Awesome room! The view of the promenade is great, and you really don't feel as though you are far from the action. I caught one or two people looking up, but I just waved and they went along their way. It was the perfect place to sit by the window, and watch all the shows and bands that would play nightly. You couldn't hear any noise from anywhere else on the ship. They are really soundproof! We couldn't hear the people next door, and there was enough room for luggage (store it under the bed) and enough shelf space in the closet and bathroom. Also, we had more than enough drawer space under the TV and in the side tables. The closet also has enough room to hang up all your formal clothes.
