This was just our 3rd cruise. It was the 3rd best ship. Was not impressed in any fashion with this older , in need of repairs ship. Carpet poor, very dull "wow" factor. One of the nightclubs smelled so bad of mildew. And whoever does their painting or standing should be made to walk the plank.

Departure went smooth, just don't arrive too early as to meet head-on with other ships arriving. Didn't take long to get our room or luggage at all. Entertainment was ok. We did fall in love with an Irish folk fiddler and group. Followed them to all their shows. Comedian was a huge let down. Maybe it was because it was an older crowd and not very receptive. Had an issue with room steward. Had to ask no tell him to get the glass slivers that we kept finding on our bathroom floor. Food was pretty standard for cruise ships. Many items were however cold in the buffet line. Overall staff was pretty good. Did get annoyed by the dang photo team trying to hustle you every time you turned around. Finally told one to leave us alone. Excursions were pricey like all cruises are. Recommend you take a on and off "tour" when ever there is one. Cheaper and more suitable for seeing what YOU want to see and not just them.

Thinking this might be our last adventure on the NCL ...

Always do a balcony room. The room was just like the other ships. Only complaint was the balcony opening was smaller thank most of the other balcony's. Hard to explain but ours was oval cut out of the steel and the other rooms were much more square and open. (less blockage of views). Our room was about 7 rooms from the very front of the ship
