This was our first River cruise and our first trip with Viking. It is fair to say that our expectations were met or exceeded in every aspect of the cruise. The Ingvi was virtually brand new, and the ship was well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Our cabin was roomy and very easy to live in, with plenty of storage space. We thought the food was plentiful and of excellent quality. The information briefings each afternoon were helpful to get the most out of each stop.

We boarded the ship in Basel, and we're able to walk to the ship from the train station. The disembarkation in Amsterdam was very near the train station, facilitating an easy trip to the airport. What we enjoyed most was the ability to walk to various attractions directly from the ship, without requiring additional transportation arrangements.

We cannot wait to take another Viking River Cruise.
