Sail Date: Aug 2014

It had been pouring rain for about an hour when we stepped aboard the Viking Ingvi in Amsterdam on August 22. It was all uphill from there. The rain stopped we had a wonderful lunch checked into our room which really could not have been nicer. There was a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us it just added a great touch to our first experience on a river cruise. The week sailed by and we enjoyed everything from the new people we met from all over the US and Canada to the wonderfully informative tours we took in cities like Cologne, Strasbourg, Heidelberg and Rudensheim. We saw Cathedrals and Castles and enjoyed the beers and wines of Germany. The meals on board were all fabulous and the crew were all friendly and always there to help with any need. We both turned 64 this summer and we had to celebrate never believing we would ever be 64. It was a great decision and we will be back for another and maybe another after that!

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda Suite

Great room. We had a bedroom with a French Balcony and bathroom and a small living room with a regular balcony. It was wonderful to sleep at night with the door open - te weather was perfect. The room was sparkling clean and well kept during our trip. We were on the same deck with the Lounge and outside the lounge was the coffee machine with every kind of coffe you could imagine.
