We had heard good and bad about Carnival and we were very happy with this cruise. We chose this one because it fit within our itinerary for the week. We have been to both ports many times so we knew what to expect in both ports. The weather was perfect. The group of people on this cruise was a pleasant group. No one was out of hand, that we saw. This ship is older and you can see it has been used. It is clean but some areas look well used. The color scheme looks like you walked into a purple Barbie dream house crossing with the Jetsons.

We stayed at Residence Inn and had a stay and cruise package that included a shuttle to the port as well as parking our car. That was easy and they had us at the port early. We checked in and it took all of 20 minutes. We were told we could not go to the cabins till 1. Well we walked around the ship to check it out, played 2 rounds of mini golf, ate lunch and at 12:30 went to see if we could get in our cabin and it was ready. It was clean, had plenty of towels in it. We had an ocean view and it had a large window. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for our things. The bathroom shower had plenty of room and we never had cold water and the drains worked fine. The bed was comfy and we slept soundly. The room was attended to twice a day and was always spotless.

The food was good and plentiful. We never had to wait to be seated or in the buffet for breakfast. We had anytime dining and was asked if we wanted to sit alone or in a group. We did both during the week and were always seated with nice people. The waitstaff always addressed you by your name when serving your food and always asked if anything was good, We were told if things were not satisfactory they will replace them or get you something else.
