Embarkation at NY was easy despite a delay in boarding due to no fault of Norwegian Cruise Line. You can thank Tropical Storm/Hurricane Ophelia for that.

Once aboard we went directly to our stateroom to check things out, and I was happily surprised. The bathroom was really cool..separate compartments. We had enough storage space (though I brought the mother of all suitcases that wouldn't fit under the bed), and who could complain with a balcony?

While in port in NY, we had a great view of the Intrepid and got a lot of good pics too. (It's also awesome to wake up in the AM and watch the sun come up from your balcony whether out to sea or going into port...a balcony is a must....splurge a little, if you can. It's well worth it.)
