Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We really liked this cruise. We were originally booked on the Celebrity Millennium, but Celebrity switched ships and we sailed on the Solstice. No problem, we really like the Solstice. It was a pre-Christmas cruise so the ship was about 70% full which was nice. Embarkation & Disembarkation were smooth & quick. There are many cruise terminals that could learn much from LA's San Pedro port ...

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Viking Star

We actually boarded the world cruise on December 24th in Fort Lauderdale. Cruise Critic did not allow us to pick that as our sailinh date. In regard to embarkation, I gave it a 3 star rating because the CDC got in the way of Viking's amazing COVID screening process. As a matter of fact, the CDC exposed us to a greater risk of COVID because they interfered with their own testing process. ...

We booked our first ever world cruise in June 2019 to sail in January 2021. That cruise was canceled because of covid, but we took the 125% and rebooked for 2022. It had our dream itinerary, going from LA to Australia, New Zealand, etc. Many itinerary changes were made over the months to come, but the day before we were to embark, we learned that we would be sailing to South America and the Far ...

Viking took extreme care of us with their Covid protocols. The crew at Viking are exceptional across the board and treated us like family, top professionals all. The Viking Star always immaculate and luxurious, perfect size for a World Cruise......five star. Restaurants, cafes, room service are amazing, kudos to all chefs and galley staff and service. Excursion Team provided phenomenal ...

As my husband had just retired it was time for us to try a longer cruise and The Splendour Journey Cruise of 24 days looked perfect. After a bit of a problem getting onto the ship (3 hour wait) due to technical issues with collecting passports and other paperwork, we were onboard. Our cabin was an inside on deck 6 midships. It was a nice size and had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. It ...

This was an amazing 60 day cruise that went much faster than we thought. We loved the ports in Asia (all but one in Vietnam) - Enjoyed the activities on board. Liked the smaller ship as you got to know more people. As we were headed to Asia there were Typhoons in the area where we were headed and our Captain with the LA office took our safety into account and we did not get to one ...

A Paradise of Sea Days

Review for a Asia Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Repositioning cruises tend to be unique and don't provide good information for more routine and repetitious cruises. This repositioning cruise went from San Pedro port in L.A. to Honolulu, Guam, Taiwan, Okinawa, Shanghai, Kogoshima and Osaka. This was the type of cruise attractive to veteran cruisers and lovers of sea days. The ship was not full and there were only nine children on most of the ...

We have sailed on the Sapphire now three times and with this move to Asia we new it would probably be a long time before we sailed on her again. Also, this cruise went to Guam where my DW grew up and she had not been back in over 40 years. These two items made this a special trip for us, a ship we like moving away and my DW's history in one of the ports. We did not use a Princess Transfer as we ...
