Sail Date: Jan 2022

We actually boarded the world cruise on December 24th in Fort Lauderdale. Cruise Critic did not allow us to pick that as our sailinh date.

In regard to embarkation, I gave it a 3 star rating because the CDC got in the way of Viking's amazing COVID screening process. As a matter of fact, the CDC exposed us to a greater risk of COVID because they interfered with their own testing process. Viking had a process that minimized risk and worked very well. Once we were on board, Viking conducted PCR tests on every passenger (guest and crew) every day for the entire cruise. We felt like we were in the safest place in the world.

The only negative thing about this cruise, and it was really just a very minor annoyance, was that the internet provided was not up to Viking's usual standard. However, we were not on this cruise to spend a lot of time on the web, so we did not really consider that a significant problem.

Cabin Review

Had everything we needed in that we only showered and slept here. Room steward came twice a day.
