We booked this cruise pre pandemic and waited 2 years for it. We did not believe it would go ahead until the day before departure as everything was so uncertain. I am so glad we did not move it again as we had a wonderful time. One port was altered due to Germany shutting down but we were very happy with the replacement port of Stavanger, Norway. The other port visited was Zeebrugge where we took ...
What an amazing experience overall with very little to fault!
Embarkation was swift, we used CP Parking and had priority boarding through our suite booking. It took us less than 20 minutes from arrival at the dock in our car to stepping on board the ship - couldn't have been any easier!
Once on board we did find that there was no assistance/help for those new to cruising to know where we ...
Firstly embarkation was a breeze. Turned up early and no hanging about. A porter came over collected our cases and off we went. But if you take a suit bag you have to carry this on yourself. Straight onto the ship, the bars where open the holiday was well under way, and didn't have to wait ages for the cases to arrive at our cabin.
The cabin had plenty of hanging space, coat hangers and comfy ...
Embarkation was smooth, we waited about 30 mins to be called. The ship was easy to navigate and very clean. Always found somewhere to sit during the day and in the evening. We had a delux balcony cabin and were very impressed with the size and storage. It was kept spink and span by our attendant. The food was comparable with other cruises. We especially liked the grab and go option at lunch. I ...
Lovely itinerary to Faroes, Iceland, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Embarkation was easy with pre arranged assistance.
Food was much better than our previous cruise on Ventura, we ate most of the time in the MDR for breakfast, lunch and dinner as we find the buffet difficult with a wheelchair although staff are always willing to help. A couple of times my partner got us a bacon roll from the ...
A 7 day trip to Norway fiords. Very enjoyable apart from the weather which unfortunately we can’t order. This ship is big but well organised with plenty to do, good shows with choice and excellent dining in restaurants. Self service not so good, very repetitive. We were well looked after in our cabin by our friendly smiley Steward. The ship was full as it was half term but we enjoyed being with a ...
Having previously cruised with Celebrity and RCL, we were keen to see how P&O compared, this was also our first cruise from a UK port.
The only thing we would suggest as an area for really improvement is the website, RCL/Celebrity is far better to use, but after that P&O really impressed. In simple summary P&O is not necessarily better than the other two in an one area but it is consistently good ...
We have just got back from our first Fjords cruise and had a great time.
Having sailed on Oceana from Southampton before and finding that cruise too quiet for our liking we were concerned about booking another P&O cruise but we needn't have worried. Ventura has far more going on with a large theatre and other bars with stages so there was plenty of good quality evening entertainment. The ...
The Trips Dublin As we have been to Dublin many a time and the weather was bad we didn't go off the ship.
There was a curtsey bus that took you into Dublin town for free, not having used any of the trips I can't comment on what they were like.
Reykjavic
Here we did take a trip, organised by the ship's explorer desk, the "The Golden Circle" cost was £85 per person. We visited the geothermal ...
Just returned from a Norwegian Fjords cruise for our anniversary. We have been told on numerous occasions to try P & O cruises, so that it what we decided to do on Ventura for 7 days, with an excellent offer of £499 for a weeks cruise. We had never been in and inside cabin before and although apprehensive it was fine. Very small when you are used to Balconies but still livable. We noticed that ...
