After reading the mixed reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. We thought we were joining a lifeless ship with surly staff, poor food, rubbish entertainment with hard, grey towels, a steward that enters your room unannounced and single ply toilet paper!!! This cruise to the Fijords was spectacular. The coach journey down to Southampton was easy and we arrived mid afternoon. Embarkation went so smoothly. Firstly, we did have a great time. The ship is enormous and, as a result of being all-balcony, suffers from having no deck on which to walk around the whole ship. Our balcony cabin was on the small side with a bit of a dark colourway, but the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, the TV Films were good and our steward was fab. Embarkation was the quickest we(my husband and I) have experienced ,the checkin staff were very friendly and efficient .we were amazed to find our cases already at the cabin door as we were able to enter the room straight away even though we were on board by just after 1.30pm.The balcony room was spotless with ample space for all our clothing.The shower felt larger then those on other P&O Ships we ...
