Embarkation was the quickest we(my husband and I) have experienced ,the checkin staff were very friendly and efficient .we were amazed to find our cases already at the cabin door as we were able to enter the room straight away even though we were on board by just after 1.30pm.The balcony room was spotless with ample space for all our clothing. The shower felt larger then those on other P&O Ships we have cruised and the glass door was much better ,no more wet bathroom floor. The balcony was small but we loved it still. We were wondering about the best route to the muster as we we were on deck 15 midship and there are no stairs there,so we asked our fantastic cabin steward and she told us they open up the emergency stairway which is for staff only except in the muster, these stairs are midship.Britannia is a very beautiful ship.We watched the three Headliners resident cast shows at the ultra modern theatre and found them extremely entertaining and talented. There were also, mentalist,Matt Sterling,he was fascinating,a group of 4 west end male singers,The 4Tunes,they were really good, and the awesome Sam Bailey(x-Factor winner)on at the Headliners theatreWe always got a seat but the trick is to go at least 30 mins early or you might have to try again at the later show.At the Live lounge we saw a Bon jovi tribute singer and an impressionist from Britains got talent(not winner),we were not at all impressed by either. We had freedom dining at the Peninsular restaurant. The service was good and our waiters were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals but a our favourite desert was the black forest sundae. The only gripe we have is that you bill statement is not viewable on the tv screen(it has been on other ships). We like to check it during the week. The cruise itself was wonderful.

Port Reviews

Stavanger

Nice walk around the shops and town, have been before when we went to the Petroleum museum which was a good interesting visit.

Southampton

Stayed at the wonderful ElizabethHouse hotel at Southampton the night before sailing due to the long distance from home and worries about traffic making us miss the ship.Have stayed there before and will do so again.

Bergen

Docked close to shops.Nice walk ,looked at the shops, spent some money on clothing and cute viking ornament, not a long visit to Bergan as ship sails early afternoon.

Olden

Very beautiful place. We had excursion Kayaking for 3 hours, loved it.

Flam

Had a lovely walk followed by roadtrain ride, back to ship for lunch then visit to Flam museum which is very interesting.
