I would like to commend the following crew members that made this cruise so enjoyable, especially Imade, our cabin steward who provided superior service; Oswin, a head waiter at the Aquarius dining room who went out of his way to accommodate our every request and ensure that our dining experience was first class. His personal attention carried over at the Windjammer during breakfast and lunch; ...
Review of Vision of the Seas, Transatlantic Galveston to Barcelona, April 19th to May 6th 2019 – 17 nights.
Overview:
Amazing trip, great ship, superb crew. The whole trip was amazing with one major issue, which was the medical staff/facilities and one minor issue, which was new sheets that were dirty (bloodstains) on the sofa bed, the new sheets they sent were also badly stained, so we ...
Vision of the Seas – Transatlantic – April 16th 2017
Overview
A wonderful crossing for the second year in a row. We love the Vison Class ships. They have a very friendly staff in all parts of the ship. The food was very good the entertainment was mostly excellent.
Embarkation
We stayed at the Tremont Hotel in Galveston. It’s a marvelous old hotel located very close to the port. We ...
Sailing from Galveston is always very convenient and this itinerary was perfect! The ship was in very good condition considering its age. The captain and the crew were very friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious! We had a Grand Suite which was wonderful. Lots of extra drawers and space with a spacious balcony. The ship doesn’t have all the ‘bells and whistles’ like the much larger ships ...
My parents invited my husband and I to take this transatlantic cruise with them. This was the 4th cruise we had been on and the first transatlantic. Like the first cruise on Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas back in 2010, the Vision was a fabulous experience. While a smaller (and older) ship, it was pristine and immaculate and the layout was great. Easy to get around, lots happening ...
I had sailed on RCL 2 previous times and had been very pleased with my experience. However, this cruise was not to be a repeat of the previous ones. I have not sailed from Galveston before so I can't say that my embarkation experience was unusual but definitely unlike previous ones. We stood in the sun for about 40 minutes before we were able to get into the building and then about another 1.5 ...
We've been on many RCCL cruises and have always had a great time. This cruise was not up to RCCL standards. The ship, cabin, and cabin steward were great. The problem came with the entertaiment, cruise director and staff, and last but certainly not least, the food.
Let me say, the Ice Show was EXCELLENT. The absolute highlight of all the entertainment
We always look forward to the nightly ...
We booked a cruise package for this trip - our first time to do this. This included flights, transfers, hotel and the 15 night cruise. It was excellent value for money. The flight was from London Heathrow and took over 10 hours. The hotel, being in the airport, was most welcome. The embarkation went smoothly after a delayed departure from the Marriott at George Bush Airport. The ship was undergoing ...
Booked in to a Best Western in Galveston and did not get a wink of sleep because of the room next door. This was my first time to have an interior room but ended up loving it. Very quiet and dark, which I like for sleeping, but the only draw back is waking up and wondering is it am or pm. I loved the days at sea. All the people on board were around my age. Unfortunately I ate most of my meals ...
Not first time cruisers, but this was our first transatlantic crossing. We were not sure what to expect. We had read so many reviews and scoured the internet for information. Here's the BIG PICTURE summary:
Fantastic cruise that was not boring or too long by any stretch of the imagination. Mariner of the Seas was a great ship with fantastic service. We don't think we could ever take a cruise ...
