We chose this itinerary primarily because of the opportunity to go through the Panama Canal locks. The rest of the itinerary was fine. We used the ship's shore excursions for the ports except for Cartagena (private tour). Surprisingly, the ship's excursions turned out pretty well with the exception of the one in Panama.

Food was excellant . CABIN STEWART WAS VERY GOOD WITH ALL OUR NEEDS
SHIP WAS RIGHT SIZE FOR US HAD AN OUTSIDE BALCONY AND THE VIEWS WERE
Great. Comedy show was great and had great deserts!!!!
The 2 onboard pools were right tempature and hot tubs were very relaxing. WENT WITH ANOTHER COUPLE IN ADJOUNING CABIN AND WE OPENED BALCONY SWING DOORS AND ENJOYED THE GREAT VIEWS TOGETHER

This cruise is billed as the Panama Canal cruise. If you accept that then the abbreviated shore excursions in other places become acceptable. If not, then the extremely short layovers will not be satisfactory. That being said, this is an excellent cruise. It is very relaxing and the ports are excellent.

We had a very enjoyable cruise on the Coral Princess partial transit of the Panama Canal. The ship is beautiful and we found almost all of the staff to be friendly and eager to please. We enjoyed the food in the Main Dining Room, the Horizon Buffet and the burgers and pizza on the Lido deck. The shores excursions were hit & miss at best. We didn't bother getting off in Aruba since the ship was only docked for a few hours in the morning. In Cartegna, we did the Old City Walking Tour & Las Bovedas. It was interesting but could have used a bit more time. Very disappointed in my first Princess Cruise. The ship had a sewage smell in many of the hall ways from day one. Very off putting. It was possibly a health hazard as well most of our group ended up with a severe upper respiratory infections before the cruise was over or after we got home. We went especially for the Panama Canal and it was great.Our 6 th time going thru the canal but got no certificate this time as we had in the past..Our balcony was D 516 and Jeffery did an excellent job.He always had our cabin finished when we returned from breakfast and dinner.
