The shores excursions were hit & miss at best. We didn't bother getting off in Aruba since the ship was only docked for a few hours in the morning. In Cartegna, we did the Old City Walking Tour & Las Bovedas. It was interesting but could have used a bit more time. During the Canal partial transit, we took the ship's tour (RAINFOREST & GATUN LAKE AND LOCKS CRUISE) that included viewing the canal operations. The tour guide decided to leave the viewing of operations until on our way back to the ship. But, we arrived back at 4:10pm, the building closes at 4:30pm and the observation deck closed at 4pm. The tour guide was so surprised at this you would think they had never done this tour before; there was plenty of useless crap on the tour that could have been cut short to get us back before the observation deck closed. The traffic in the canal zone is terrible because traffic stops when the locks open; the tour operator should know this. Should have demanded some compensation from Princess, but didn't. In Limon, we did the Rainforest Walk, Canal Cruise & Countryside which was much better than what was done at the canal.
The ship is getting a bit worn in places and needs some very simple repairs, such as glueing back down carpeting in places. There was stuff not working in the spa, which was surprising since it isn't cheap to use.
Princess needs more adult late-night entertainment. The stage productions are much better on Norwegian and the adult late-night entertainment (e.g., comedy club) is better on Carnival.
Certainly didn't go on a cruise to use the Internet, but when you pay those outrageous per-minute prices, it should work. Unfortunately, Cabin B619 is right at the furtherest extremes between 2 access points, which means many times the WiFi would not work and I would need to literally go into the hallway to send/receive my email.
