We went on this cruise with another couple we knew from college..... We found the process of changing from one location to another VERY smoothly handled... from the airport transfer to the first lodge (in Fairbanks) to the second location (Denali) and then on to the port of Whittier to be first class in every way. Luggage was moved efficiently and was always where it needed to be.... The ship is "mid sized" which meant that we ALMOST knew our way around perfectly by a few days in... that always helps.... The cabin itself with a balcony was comfortable and always cared for well by our steward. We did not use the cruise ship's excursions at all (we always like to plan our own). The entertainment that we did see was good. There was one snafu where many of us were seated in the venue listed on the day's program of activities for a particular show... the venue changed, and by the time all of us who were in that location tried to move to the other we were unable to see the show... not enough seats.... We thoroughly enjoyed the presentations by the on board naturalist, Gloeta. We attended every one of her talks and found them to be information and entertaining at the same time.... a feat not easily mastered.... especially when the topics are glaciers, bears and whales. In our opinion, she should have the biggest venue possible for her talks... they almost always draw a crowd.... It would be nice if they were streamed later in the cruise for those who missed it. We enjoyed the food at the main dining rooms and never used the specialty dining.

If Princess were traveling somewhere else we wanted to go, I would certainly not hesitate to travel with them again.

Cabin Review

Cabin BA B502

It was an efficient use of space.... there were 2 chairs and a desk area in addition to the bed, which was quite comfortable. Would love more room in the bathroom but even that was functional with the extra shelf for our belongings. It is hard to spend a whole week in a room where you don't have enough room in the shower to shave your legs....
