This cruise is billed as the Panama Canal cruise. If you accept that then the abbreviated shore excursions in other places become acceptable. If not, then the extremely short layovers will not be satisfactory. That being said, this is an excellent cruise. It is very relaxing and the ports are excellent.

CONS

1. This is an older ship, and showing its age. You can see lots of rusted areas, damaged tiles and carpets, lighting in the dining rooms that doesn’t work, broken lounge chairs, and technical glitches on stage. You can see the difference on the exterior in the ports when you compare it to other ships, which seem to show no rust at all.

Cabin BA

Cabin was excellent, with lots of room. Jonathan was superb in keeping the cabin refreshed.

Port Reviews

Colon (Cristobal)

2017 is the last year for the Gatun Lock tours. It was excellent. Got to see our ship re-enter the locks.

Puerto Limon

Impressive forest area. Not a lot of wildlife, but that's to be expected (it's not a zoo).

Puerto Limon

Outstanding tour of the waterway. Lots of wildlife.
