This is our second cruise with Regent, we embarked in Istanbul and went (are still going) around the Eastern Mediterranean.
The butler and steward are fantastic they always have a smile and are super helpful, nothing we have asked for is too much work for them.
The food was mostly ok, not wow but ok, we did have one bad meal - lunch at the compass rose, the burger was undercooked, potatoes ...
-(EVERYTIME)
-Room services orders takes over an hour+
- Food is horrible barley cooked poor selection of food choices. Food taste like rubber. This should be more focus than anything especially when you go to a cruise over 7 days long!
-Lack of customer services
-Lack of waiters attention in restaurant you pay money. For example Brazilian steak restaurant our waiter so us only once. ...
One of our friends had been bumped from a scheduled cruise by a charter 5 years ago. Between additional charter bumps , better pricing for just making a new booking and Covid they finally landed on this cruise. We have a group of friends who travel in a pack and as soon as one family booked, we ended up a group of 36 going on this cruise. We originally were booked on Brilliance but then the new ...
In a strange way, ships like the Explorer could be considered 'perfect' cruise ships. They have a little bit of everything. I read an article recently that said ships like Mariner of the Seas (and therefore Explorer) represent the best cruise value you can get at the moment. Everything you want is there, even if some of it could be improved to make it perfect.
The famous 'promenade' layout of ...
We decided about a month before sailing to join some friends on this cruise. Norwegian was running a sale that included half price airfare for a companion. We did not realize until after we’d booked and tried to arrange airfare through NCL that there was an exception to the airfare deal that excluded anyone who booked less than 75 days before the sailing date. So, we were on our own. We did ...
We have traveled with Norwegian Cruise Line in the past and truly enjoyed it all. My NCL reservations representative is wonderful too. We chose this ship’s itinerary since our first option to travel with NCL Epic out of Barcelona was cancelled to do ship updates. Needless to say, they should update Breakaway too. Commodes did not flush properly, no automated door openings so touchy touchy, no ...
I choose this cruise through Costco travel. There were some perks for booking with Costco and i was interested in the itinerary going to Greek isles and the western side of Italy.
Good things.
We upgraded to a balcony and it was clean and comfortable.
We went to multiple ports and they were great for seeing things, like Pompeii, Pisa, Florence etc...
Bad Things.
Customer Service ...
NCL canceled Sardina, spent 2 days at Florence port which does not allow for liqour to be served. Food was disgusting and cheap, employees seemed crabby and overworked, entertainment was limitted and poor quality. Passengers appeared to cough more frequently as cruise went on, then we returned home tested covid positive. Breakfast at all restaurants was served cold and of poor quality, eggs over ...
Sailed previously on NCL Encore to Alaska, and it was fabulous. The Epic, however needs to be dry docked - or sunk. The service was terrible. The food in most instances was deplorable. The cabins are very uncomfortable; barely any water pressure in the shower. Most of the entertainment previously advertised did not exist, Pricilla Queen of the Desert was not offered. The Beatles only played ...
Wow! We spent a fortune sailing in the Yacht Club. Expected it to be like Norwegian Haven or Celebrity Retreat. The service was excellent in the YC but the entertainment and staff outside of Yacht Club is horrible. I honestly think they dislike Americans (but love our $$). Worst entertainment of any cruise line I have traveled and we have been on over 40 cruises. Boring Sea days-no ...
