Westbound crossing in 2014 was great and we wanted to experience the remastering and a Princess Grill Suite this year, 2016, round-trip for 16 days.

Background: This is our 22nd cruise and first on Cunard.
The ship had just come out of a 3 week dry dock where most everything that we could use was replaced/updated.
Could not expect a ship to look any better.
I think that my wife and I were well taken care of by everyone.

This cruise was better know as the 4th of July celebration with stops at Halifax Nova Scotia and Boston mass. The ship was exceptional in every aspect. This was my last voyage before the dry dock coming after the WC, so I hope to write a comparison next year - as we have booked the same class and the exact same trip - Quebec to NYC.

In general we avoid cruising but we joined our family for a golden wedding anniversary celebratory voyage.

This was our second cruise on the QM2, the first being a TA in 2009. I must say that the liner looks pretty much the same way as it did in 2009 which was a relief to us as we love this liner! We flew into NYC a few days prior to re-visit one of our favourite cities then took a town car over to Red Hook.

First cruise ever and I was awestruck.
Embarkation was very speedy - taxi to stateroom in 20 minutes; luggage arrived in the next 20.
Room was very clean and spacious enough - lots of closet space and hangers. Only electrical outlet is on desk in main cabin as is the hair dryer, which imagine would be a bit cumbersome if multiple folks sharing a cabin.

This was my 5th time on the QM2, and this time my wife and I decided to take our toddler and in-laws, who have never sailed before. We purposely chose a short voyage out of a local port for convenience, and were very happy with the decision.
