Oceania is well-known as the upper premium class cruise line with excellent gourmet food. indeed, the appearance of the buffet restaurant could compete with fine dining serviced restaurants on other vessels. The food was really extremely "dangerous" with a high extra-weight-potential. You could tell just by looking at the ingedients: lemon sole, finest filet, mussels, prawns. The passenger mix ...

WE chose the Baltic cruise because we liked the itinerary and wanted to try Oceania Cruiseline. We like the smaller ships and this fit the need. The ship itself is well maintained and the common areas are nice. I am a blackjack player so I did enjoy the casino on this ship. Our cabin was nice we were on the concierge Veranda which gave us 4 nights in the speciality restaurants, there was a ...

Oceania performed as expected. The food was amazing, the ports of call were wonderful and the entertainment was very good. We thought Cory "from the bridge" did a wonderful job as cruise director. Captain Max was very approachable and informative. Travel above the Arctic Circle was memorable and provided numerous photo opportunities. We were on the Concierge floor and cabin service was ...

An enjoyable first ocean cruise which met most of our expectations.

First Time Cruiser

As virgin ocean cruisers, but experienced river cruisers, we were not sure what to expect. We chose this particular cruise mainly because of the reputation of Oceania, the cruise had only one sea day, a relatively small number of passengers (684), many destinations that we had not visited and a competitive price. Getting on and off the ship was easy at all times of the cruise which was one of ...

We like small ships and river cruises so Oceania was a preference over larger ships to see these locations. Verandah stateroom was roomy enough although bathroom and shower were small (not a surprise if you follow Cruise Critic). MDR food was good although we could not say it was head & shoulders above everyone else, as some would have us believe. Both specialty restaurants were better - we ...

Just back from our first but not last Oceania cruise. We did a 12 day Baltic cruise in verandah stateroom aft on deck 6. Great location. Quiet. Handy for the Terrace Cafe. Used the stairs all the time. Room is small. Balcony furniture is old and uncomfortable. Great bed and bedding. Room small, awkward getting in to closet if someone wants to get in our out of the closet. Stateroom was kept ...

A Wonderful Cruise on Nautica

OVERVIEW: We (my wife and I) selected this cruise based on previous experience sailing with Oceania, and also the itinerary of this specific cruise. The Norwegian Fjords were on our "bucket list" and this cruise also included three ports in Russia: Murmansk, Solovetsky Islands, and Archangel. The cruise was wonderful, we would highly recommend it. Anyone considering this itinerary, regardless ...

This was our first time on Oceania line (which does not appear to have a very high profile in Australia it seems - perhaps it will change once NCL open their own office here rather than an agency) and overall we were very happy with the quality of décor, food, etc. The ratio of staff to guests was very high and overall the experience was excellent, with very good quality dining, either formal ...

Chose this cruise simply because of the itinerary. The idea of 18% added on to all purchases is anathema to us but we decided we would not purchase anything that involved this charge. Embarkation was quick with baggage being taken from you as you entered into the jetty marque. Usual pettiness regarding security, I believe this is now a self perpetuating industry as you come across it ...
