An unforgettable experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

This was our first cruise experience and it has been a marvelous gift by our son. The chosen itinerary was very interesting, but quite long (3weeks) and we were a bit worried to get bored BUT we didn’t have to be so apprehensive because the days “have flown “fast thanks to the well planned tours and to the valid, involving entertainment activities, even if we have participated only to the evening ...

Dead in the water

This cruise was the worse. Can you believe the ship actually shut down and no power at 3a. No word from the Bridge, nothing for 4 hours. And then a pathetic apology and nothing more. Breakfast was only cold food and coffee was delayed by an hour. This was totally glossed over by the ship and crew. Cabin was well worn and certainly not worth the cost. Many stains on the bathroom floor. ...

Wonderful

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Quest

The cruise was chosen because it did 3 overnight stays. We had read previous reviews and did not know what to expect but we felt ports would be exactly what we wanted The first thing to say is the staff, crew and officers are superb. They try to meet every request. The food we thought was amazing. I don't know what other people eat in their day to day life who complain? The cabin was an ...

Only my 2nd cruise - not a fan

First of all - Cruises ARE NOT my choice of travel - but went with a friend who has been on 20+ cruises and likes Azamara. Personally I prefer to 'chart my own course' - I don't need/want to be herded onto a boat. Too much time is wasted at sea - too little time to explore interesting cities. The POSITIVES....I like the smaller boats- this was especially the case as St Petersburg ...

Welcome Back to Cruising on Oceania

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

We have all experienced the pandemic and wondered what cruising would look like in the New Reality. We took a chance on an early return to cruising on Oceania Marina and are so glad we did. Pre-cruise, there was a lot of uncertainty, with various European ports opening/closing/changing requirements. Oceania could have handled communications better with passengers. However, O offered ...

Cruise and excursion GOT-004 12:30pm – 4:30pm in Gothenburg, Sweden, cost $179.00 per person was terrible. It was a total waste of our day which we cannot get back. We departed around 12:45 pm and arrived at our first stop Skarhamn at 2:00 pm. We were allotted 20 minutes at this stop and used the time to wait in line for a restroom. Nothing open at this stop except the one restaurant we used ...

While we still like Oceania there were a number of areas that fell short of our expectations on this past cruise. Food – Over all we found the food on this trip was not as good as our prior two trips on Marina and Riviera. The Bouillabaisse in Jacques was not good at all.. No mussels, no clams, no fennel (I don’t think) and no broth. It was pasty, more like a sauce that I would expect in a ...

We have been on Oceania twice prior and because 3 nights in St Petersburg, 14 days and the Baltic was on our bucket list. Every place we had not been to and that was really appealing. We had travelled with Oceania twice prior and relatively positive experiences. The staff, whether, food, drinks, entertainment or cabin staff are excellent and very accommodating. The negatives, - Showers ...

Worth the Indulgence

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

User Avatar

6-10 Cruises • Age 80s

Our main reasons for choosing the Ovation included some (but not all) of the destinations, notably Scotland, the relatively small scale of the ship (600 passengers), the suites (spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed) the common areas (ditto), the beverage plan (free everything unless you want to splurge) , and a generally older and well to do clientele. (We fit the former but not the ...

Seabourn does it right. Wonderful service, great suite, great food, embarkation was a 15 minute pleasure. disembarkation went smoothly until the coach we were on had no more room for our luggage, so a little stressful waiting on the next coach to see if our luggage made it to the airport in Copenhagen. twenty minutes later it arrived on the next bus. At our age, Mid to late 60s, jet lag from ...
