Cabin is basically the same for all verandahs. Ours was configured with the bed next to the balcony doors (there are others with the bed by the closet. Bathroom is a good size with a sort of semi circular shower. Lots of storage space in the bathroom but little counter space. Our sink faucet seemed to put out only warm and hot water, near quite cold. Cabin closet has ample hanging spacebar very small shelves above. The "dresser" has tiny drawers not large enough for any clothes. The only space large enough for clothes are cabinets above the headboard of the bed. Plenty of room under the bed for empty luggage. Room has a couch and a a desk with chair. All the electric outlets fro the room are next to the desk. There is a TV with 22 channels - 2 EPSN, 4-5 news, TNT and one other entertainment, and the rest ship based. The bed was comfortable however we prefer more firm mattresses. The cabin steward was great. Read Less

Cabin 8299 had a refrigerator stocked with cans of pop to purchase ($3 plus gratuity on each), so we asked the room steward to remove these, as well as the bottles of water available for purchase. This was done immediately, and we used the refrigerator for the pop we had brought on board with us for the remainder of the cruise. The rounded beds are comfortable, and fit well in the cabin configuration. At first we were stumped by the apparent lack of drawer space, but we requested, and received, extra hangers and had plenty of room to stow our belongings. I did use my carry on bag as a drawer for underwear stowed under the bed which worked out well. There are shelves above the bed (with a front drop down lid) that work well for folded shorts and tops. The balcony was more spacious than many and the chairs had an adjustable back. A foot rest would have been nice, but that's the only improvement I can think of. The cabin included a sofa long enough to stretch out completely. The coffee table was a convenient size for a room service tray. There were two US type outlets and one European outlet by the desk and these were the only ones available in the room. It was nice that the hair dryer and curling iron could be plugged in there where there was a mirror available as well as lighting. One cabin location factor I had not realized is that the cabins close to the elevator area on deck 3 would be very close to a very active area. This is where many bands and performers entertain guests all day and night. This would affect level 3 cabins more than any other. Read Less

The stateroom was fine. There is less storage than on Carnival and RCL, but it wasn't an issue for us. The bathroom with the larger shower was excellent. One issue I had was the corners of the rounded bed that were wrapped with a smooth metal plate. The legroom around the bed was very tight, so three times I bumped my knees on the plate and drew blood each time. I have three small scabs to show for it. A friend I was traveling with also hit his knee once as well. My wife never did though, but I think the design was not well-thought out. Read Less
