Everyone is free for this date to be with my siblings post 90 th Birthday Of our mother. We have enjoyed our stay as All staff were accomodating especially the Food services staff.,Emmanuel, Rodrigo, and Jennifer .There was also a cleaner ,Casmina who were very polite ,hard worker and courteous Shops are good as well. It has varieties of perfumes, souvenirs and goods on special prices .Entertainment is good ,entertainers, singers are wellI prepared and professionals,We enjoyed watching them. I hope that there will be church service for us Christians on Sunday or even video of church service. We did not go to Moreton Island due to strong wind, it will be impossible to go there on small boat. The Captain decision not to go there is acceptable. Of course, safety comes first,It was well compensated by giving us refund which we used for shopping souvenirs, bought photos ,treated ourselves with yummy seafood dinner and drinks.I hope our bonding will be more when we got time together. Thank you Carnival Spirit for giving us this memorable moment. God Bless you all!, Read Less

I chose this cruise because of the price and that I had never been on carnival before. Staff were excellent and always happy and helpful. A few went above and beyond. Very, very clean ship. Cabin stewards did a wonderful job and were very thorough. I really had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. The cruise director Chloe was amazing and got involved in everything. She was so genuinely friendly and such a beautiful person inside and out. Plenty to do on sea days and plenty of entertainment. Food was excellent in the buffet and in the dining room. The Nouveau restaurant was absolutely fantastic with large servings and the food was served in beautiful and amazing ways. I truly enjoyed the cruise and would definitely sail with carnival again. My only suggestion would be if we could book and pay for shore excursions before the cruise. Read Less

We found the experience very enjoyable from the time of embarkation till disembarkation. The staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was of a high standard and was excellent. Our first port of call was Noumea and I was able to catch the hop off, hop on bus at a cost of $20. This was arranged through Ports and shore excursions. It proved to be an inexpensive way to view Noumea. A must see is the War Memorial in Noumea. I would highly recommend the Cliffs of Jokin tour on the Isle of Lifou. Included in this tour is a visit to a vanilla growing farm. As this was our second cruise to these islands I would also strongly recommend visiting Jinek Bay which is also on Lifou. The snorkelling at the Bay is a fantastic experience as there is a vast amount of coral which is easily visible and as for the aquatic life, it is amazing. Read Less

This was our first time on a Carnival cruise ship. We had the opportunity of a great fare that was too hard to turn down. Despite the initial shock of the dowdy dark mixed themes interior, we thoroughly enjoyed this cruise mostly due to the happy staff and crew. We additionally loved the fact that Carnival generously provides FREE FRESH bean coffee which none of the other cruise lines we've travelled on have done. There was a happy vibe from all staff and crew. We particularly loved the crew being involved in the fun dancing during our dining. The Carnival Legend band - CIA were a knock-out highly talented band that were very interactive with the audience and provided a lineup of great songs. They were very down to earth and blew us all away with their professional talent. This band could fill venues outside of a Carnival ship. The buffet had lots of variety. The icecream and pizza was available 24 hours and we were very thankful at times when we had been dancing for hours and wanted something late after the buffet had closed. We loved our Carnival cruise. Read Less

The dining room was amazing we had wonderful service and great waiters the stuff were amazing very kind and caring they always encourage others. The waiter were the best people on the ship they were ning, kadek and edgardo I would totally do it again and the 18 days seem long but it went very quick. There is so much things to do on the ship. Definitely go/go again. I got a bit windy but you can’t help that. The entertainment was astonishing they were amazing the shows were the best I have seen and great people to talk to the senses in the shows were great you just can’t describe how good it was to watch with the dancers and singers all the other shows were great for kids although the comedy could be a little better I beginning comedy people for kids were good but it got worst from then on they have great food on the ship. We had the best time on this five day cruise to Tasmania. Everything about our holiday was first class. Our balcony cabin was spacious, clean and had a comfortably sized bathroom. Our cabin steward was excellent , friendly and helpfu, the different animals he made daily were really appreciated. The meals in the dining room were varied and delicious and the wait staff very attentive. always remembering our names. The Serenity pool area was a very pleasant and relaxing spot to sit, especially in a cabana with a strawberry daiquiri. Children are not allowed in this area so it stays peaceful. The Mexican food bar provided delicious burrito bowls with large prawns which were a very enjoyable lunch. The entertainment in the Pharaohs Palace lounge was amazing, professional and thoroughly enjoyable. We are regular cruisers having travelled on Cunard, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity in the past. We will definitely cruise on The Carnival Spirit again. Read Less

Our third cruise on the Legend and it didn't disappoint. The staff are always amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was really good in the MDR and amazing in the Nouveau restaurant. Our cabin was one we have had before and was clean, quiet and comfortable. The shows were good, probably time for a change though. The Punchliner comedians were a bit hit and miss, some were really funny and entertaining, some were a flat and not funny at all. The photographers were fun, but don't need to be so persistent. Carnival need to look at doing a photo package, individually they are expensive. Even though the Legend had a dry dock last year, it could do with a major overhaul, it's looking a bit tired. I don't mind the decor, it's not one of the things I pay attention to. Our overall cruise was one of the best we've had. Read Less

To be honest I didn’t even know what carnival was like when I first booked. It had a 3 days flash sale on and I jumped in as the prices looked too good. I literally had to google where noumea was after I paid for the cruise. I went with my partner and it was truly an awesome cruise. First and foremost we got the faster to the fun programe and it probably took us 10 mins to get on board through customs immigrations etc. Took us about 5 days to get familiar with the boat, there was so much to do. The activities keeps you busy from 8am in the morning till 11pm or late. The cruise director Eli went above and beyond to make things comfortable for all of us. From embarkation to tenders to every shows, he was there to talk us through. Drinks prices were reasonable. We had both the Mad Hatter’s tea and Green Eggs and ham breakfast for $10 each per event. Which was super cheap given the amount of food there was. The staff remembered our names by heart. Trivias, a live game of cluedo, hasbro family games, comedy shows and playlist productions kept us on our toes all day long. All tendering process was smooth and pleasant. Would go on carnival again and again. And last but not the least, the islands were like little paradise. Read Less

We chose this cruise as it was going to New Zealand. One of the things to do on my bucket list. Carnival Spirit is an awesome ship. My high lights of this cruise was the El Fresco dining out on the deck under the skies. The entertainment was awesome. The entertainment in the dining room at dinner was great. I also enjoyed the art and crafts at soulplay with Adam. I also enjoyed the Green Thunder cocktail and great value for money. Eli was very accommodating and friendly. The stateroom stewards were great. I loved the animal towels. Especially the cat one I really enjoyed. There was nothing that they wouldn't do for you. I also loved Auckland and Bay of Islands. Very picturesque. I also enjoyed the Seranite adult only section. I also loved how they are with people with disabilities I myself have very low vision and they were great with me. Well done Carnival Spirit. See you at the end of December 2019. Read Less

The dinning restaurant has the best staff. We were served by Kosta, Bahri and Saiful, these guys went out of there way for us at every meal. Best service ever. Our Holliday was with a group of 17, enjoyed by all. We arrived early and were aloud on straight away with questions. All the port stops were handled very smoothly. Our time on board was well spent with the kids in the pools and on the slides and the for the adults there is always things to do (trivia, performences, and shows). Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in cruising and will surely do it again myself. Carnival you sure do it well. Just perfect. Read Less

Great Embarkation, no problems, straight in and treated like royalty. Good price cruise $76.65 per day. Great to have a priority for Water Shuttles. A NICE SURPRISE, at dinner time in the Empire Dinning Room, when it was “Show Time”, the music started (D’Amore”)but the singer wasn’t there so Dessi, the Maître D, started to sing. After a while a waiter helped her and when he couldn’t sing any more another waiter jumped in to help. It was really lovely to see that team work in the dining room. Also somebody proposed to his girlfriend. It was very emotional, then Dessi asked them to dance while one of her staff sang the song “Crazy”. Another good feeling was when I wore, for the first time a new pair of earrings, for the Elegant night and I realised that I lost one. I went to Guess Services and it was there!!! It was found in the Pharaoh’s Palace. I was impress with the honesty of the serving staff. NEGATIVES : Some people put in multiple entry raffle tickets for The FA FA Show, when it suppose to be only one per person. There has to be a way to avoid that. The FA FA Show was too long, no need of extra talking,(1 hour and 10 min.) Wed brunch was very slow. I just asked for a Smoked Salmon B’fast and it took more than 1/2 hour to arrive. But that was the only time that that happened. Read Less

First, I write this as a guy in my early 40s travelling with my partner and no kids. That should give you an idea of my perspective. We found this cruise through a Carnival promotion and we couldn't pass this up at the price. We didn't get to choose the cabin but we were given 5114, a balcony room closer to the front of the ship. The room was clean and well-presented, no complaints here. My first cruise ever was on Legend last year and it felt like visiting an old friend this time 'round. Some of the Fun Ship upgrades had been put in like Alchemy, Blue Iguana and Guy's Burger Joint but there was no Fat Jimmy's C-Side as there is on Spirit. Embarkation was easy enough, we rocked up to and dropped off the bags and went through customs. Carnival have changed the process a little since our last cruise on Spirit this year. They now issue you a paper boarding pass rather than the Sail and Sign card just before you get on. The Sail and Sign card awaits in the little mailbox out the room. I was told the paper is quicker to print and you can still use it in place of the proper sail and sign card. Our card arrived fairly quickly. The old Roman/Greco theme has grown on me and it never really bothered me anyway. Some may not like it. I went straight up to Unicorn café and had the fish and a few other sides. Exactly as I remember it on my first time on Legend. The food was great on the Lido deck, be it Unicorn, Guy's or the Iguana. I then purchased the bottomless bubbles package and started getting into the good stuff. The service started off excellent and didn't really deviate from any of the bar staff throughout the cruise. They were pretty much always friendly. One thing I like about Carnival are the drinks prices. They might be a little higher than the local leagues club but they're tolerable. Beer and wine is probably a $1 or $2 higher than the local club. Even spirits (Scotch is what I had) is reasonable. Cocktails are as expected. My local club does them for about $12 - $15 and that was about the price onboard. The first day is always chaotic and we had people with their kids in Serenity. Seriously, there's plenty more ship to keep your kids but Serenity is for those 18+. They weren't rowdy but these families take up cabanas that could be for someone over 18. Staff didn't do anything and ask these families to move to another area. The subsequent days didn't have kids parked at Serenity. And anyway, who takes their kids out of school before school holidays start? That's what school holidays are for. After a day or so, people's movement flows well through the ship. The ship is well laid out and there's always an area where you can sit and have a quiet area. You may not get the lounge beside the pool but on sun deck there's always a few chairs empty. Bars are easy to access and not crowded unless there's an event on. I could sit at one of the bars and enjoy a few drinks especially the more quiet ones such as Dreamteam and Odyssey. Even before dinner times, Alchemy was accessible. All-in-all, I think the Spirit class ships have a good passenger to amenity ratio. Waiters for drink service seemed to come more regularly than I remember on my last Carnival cruises. Our cruise director was Jen and she was great; always around and ready to have a chat and she looked after us. She was always letting passengers know what was going on. Entertainment was generally good and they had Epic Rock on the last night, the second time I've seen the show. DJ Max was our main DJ and plays a good mix of music that would appeal to most anyone. His playlist doesn't feel like it was contrived by a CCL suit in Miami for use onboard all their ships. Unfortunately, Music Manilla weren't on this ship but the other entertainers were good. Music volume levels were good including in areas where piped music was playing so you could easily maintain a conversation. As one would expect, the jams were pumped up a little for the Lido deck 80's theme night. That joint was bumping and it was a good turn out. In terms of cleanliness, Unicorn tables were being cleaned promptly. I'd barely finish a meal and a courteous staff member would be there cleaning. I only encountered one or two public toilets not working but they seemed to have been repaired promptly. Toilets are quite handily located all over the ship so you can leave things on a table and be back quick enough for no one to have removed anything. Toilets were always clean and there'd be someone cleaning/maintaining them often enough. Again, the food was excellent and other than breakfast, changed regularly. Breakfast was mostly things like bacon, eggs, toast, etc. along with cold cuts and even salad. Truffles was excellent and the service astounding. We were able to change our assigned table and we were given a note the next day in our mailbox informing us of the new table number. We also did the Chef's table again as well as Nouveau. Again, both were excellent. Nouveau has bumped up the price but it's still worth it. Just a note, we've had the escargot before so didn't think to order them this time. Our chef came out and had chat with us about the meu. Apparently, Carnival will be taking them off the menu so get in while you can. Our chef quickly had some cooked up for us. Amazing service. Some minor criticisms with the ship include inconsistent bar prices. Most staff will process the mixer component of spirits and it will be then credited back on the bill because soft drink is included in the Bottomless Bubbles package but even at the same bar, other bar staff will not credit it back. In some of the areas, parents would simply not bother controlling their children. Others would let nappy-donned rug rats in the pool. Even with a swim nappy, you can't go in the pool. People don't want to swim in diarrhoea and urine. Staff didn't seem control this whereas they were strict about it last year on Legend. Other than that, I know I've been on a stellar cruise when I shed the odd tear knowing I have to disembark and get back on with life. Well done, Carnival. Read Less

We actually chose this cruise because it was a last minute special, no other reason. The decor is Las Vegas on sea, it takes a little getting used to the lavish decorations but hey, you are on a holiday and bland is not exiting. Our luggage was delivered to the cabin after an easy check in, smooth embarkation process. The cabin was fine, lots of room for clothes etc and a balcony actually big enough for sitting on, our cabin steward was polite and helpful. There is a lot of food and drink on board, free drinks include ice water, ice tea, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice and apple juice all day. Alcoholic drinks are pricy but as there is no daily charge or enforced tipping on this ship it is still affordable to have a great time, prices are about the same as at a nicer venue on land in Australia. Free food includes good pizza to well after 11pm, hamburgers, tacos and wraps made to order on deck. The buffet is similar each day with several different stations serving foods as in seafood, sandwiches etc. Think Siz***rs. The sit down restaurant serves breakfast lunch and dinner, it is a little hit and miss but the good thing of course is that if you meal is not to your liking you just ask your waiter and a different meal turns up for you. We never asked for another meal. Every evening the waiters dance for you and there are theme nights during the cruise with the dining room decorated and special dishes on the menu. We had a Chefs table dinner which is served in the kitchen between the excitement of the kitchen. Amazing food and all drinks included. This was the highlight of our cruise and well worth the $120 per person it cost. It made for an extra special night as we chose formal night to do this. The entertainment on board includes things like games and quizzes during the day and a show at night as well as late night comedy. We went to all of these and had hardly any time left to read a book. The shows are great, we went to some twice. I have to say the last night was a rock and roll night and you would have to buy a pricy ticket to go see a show this good on land. Our cruise director Jen was on hand when needed and it seems she had 3 doubles walking around, she was just everywhere. My husband and I are in our early 60 so had no kids with us this time but as we are thinking of bringing our grandchildren some times we went down to the kids club to have a talk to the parents and they all seemed happy, so did the kids. The only remark was to wait till the youngest is over 2 as there are no facilities for younger children. Over all, we enjoyed our cruise and would go on this ship again, there is a good mix of all ages on board and something to do for everyone. Read Less

Saw an advertised “special deal” on Carnival - $749 for 8 nights so wanted to see if we would enjoy a longer cruise in possibly a different region with them. Food in restaurant, service and staff excellent. Ship was kept spotlessly clean. Cabin 4118 was spacious and our Cabin Steward, Ketut, maintained the room to a very high standard. He addressed us by name at all times, enquired about our activities and always had a welcoming smile. Lots of fun trivia, Serenity area was a bonus, entertainment was on par with other cruise lines. Only minor downside was the setup of the food in the Lido. We found it very spread out and difficult if you wanted to eat different food but enjoy it at the same time as the group you were travelling with. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely book another Carnival cruise. My daughter did a Caribbean cruise with Carnival 3 years ago and says she would also book another cruise with them. Read Less

I chose this cruise because it was sailing out of Sydney and I have always wanted to do that. It was also going to New Caledonia where I haven't been before. It was my first cruise experience and I was a little nervous about doing it on my own. It was the most social holiday I have had on my own. I must have spoken with 50 people at various times during the cruise. The overall experience was fantastic. I did upgrade to a Grand Suite so my room was very nice and comfortable. I also chose the pick up at Sydney airport as I was flying in and out from New Zealand. Because I was the only person doing that they put me in a taxi instead of the coach. Great service. No problems with embarkation and disembarkation. It was probably not a good idea to be flying in and out on the same day as the cruise but lucky for me all went smoothly. I even got time to take the ferry over to Manly for a few hours before boarding the ship (they stored my suitcase). The food was pretty good. I chose to do the Chefs Table and that was a great food experience. I felt the alcohol side of this was a let down. No Cocktail just a glass of bubbles and the wine served during the meal was house wine standard. It was interesting to see the kitchen but i think it would have been better to then go to a separate dining area. It was difficult for me to hear what the Chef was saying due to the background noise. My time ashore was fantastic. Loved Mare and Isle of Pines for snorkelling and swimming. Read Less

Overall the cruise was above my expectations. Room: We were in room 7302 aft balcony and I will be requesting an aft balcony for future cruises. The room was spacious enough for my husband and I and 6 year old and having a balcony gave us a lot more flexibility in space ( somewhere to dry clothes and towels, stash sandy shoes and snorkel gear, read, sun bake and get some fresh air). The aft balcony meant we got great uninterrupted views with none of the wind and it was very quiet as the only other people going past our door was the staff and neighbours. Cleanliness: Room attendants were fantastic, unobtrusive, friendly and even left a special message, balloons and toy for my daughter on her birthday - I didn’t even have to organise it. Meals: lots to choose from. My husband doesn’t like buffets and lives for a good steak so he insisted we eat at the fancy restaurant a few times. Meals there were VERY good and not very expensive, however I actually preferred the dining room meals and the staff there really went above and beyond. The buffet was also good and we all loved the 24 hr pizza. The only thing that could of been done better was the drink packages. None of my family do soft drinks or wine. Beer, liquor and good coffee is what we want and they didn’t have a drink package to cater to any of these and we ended up paying a small fortune for 10 days of good coffee. Entertainment: always something to do for everyone. We all like very different things and each one of us was happy doing some things by ourselves and somethings together. Kids club: my daughter loved kids club ( so did we) and we never felt guilty taking her there as whenever we went to pick her up she would have a spit because she wanted to do whatever the next activity was. Staff: this is where I was blown away. I can not say enough good things about the staff. Friendly, patient, entertaining, always willing to help and they go out of their way to make you feel special - considering there is 3000 people they attend to daily this is no mean feat! I was disgusted in the way I saw many other cruisers treat the staff, but they took it all in stride. For many English is a second or third language, but they still remember your names, how you like your orders, what you drink etc, and many times we were what seemed like extra special care even though they probably are like that for everyone. Our waiter Ketut and his staff must have a special mention as I cannot list all the ways they were good to us. Destination: each place we visited was more beautiful then the next. It may seem like I am praising everything from a holiday high but I have been back in the real world for 3 months now as I write this. I am usually a critical person but was amazed at how great our experience was. Even my husband who gets motion sickness and prefers to stay indoors loved it and we were both surprised at how very little movement we noticed in the ship and no one got sea sick at all. Read Less

The dinning staff were great thanks Costa and his team. Food was fantastic plenty of variety. Eli cruise director very approachable called me lovely, said he sees us more than his parents. We are platinum cruises. The seas we kind to us like a mill pond only one day when we had a few white caps Meet the new captain lovely man. Entertainment good shows good especially 88 keys. The violin trio was fantastic so too Rod with his country music. Isle of Pines beautiful as usual, first time with a high tide was quite different to swim had a very relaxing time clear blue waters. Noumena next port of call we did the Double Decker bus good tour good price good commentary first time enjoyed would recommend. Stopped at the pastry shop first time for us my husband is a retired pastry chef was interested to see what the fuss was about, a bit expensive but very nice to eat. Lifou next port have been a few times did vanilla plantation. A drive into the country in an nine seate4 aircon bus lady driver no commentary. Lady tour guide was not to pleasant, but it was very interesting tour. A refreshment was included we bought some vanilla pods all sealed no trouble getting through customs when declared. Last port Mare not my favourite island bus to beach to expensive and there was wind. We just walked around for half hour then back on ship. I think they could find a better place to go. Most international airlines would struggle to compete with the speed and efficiently of Carnival Legend’s boarding and disembarking procedures. Our Cabin was appropriate for our needs, contained but everything was there. Full marks for excellent room service that included a daily animal creation made out of towels – a masterpiece with two bold eyes. (Thank you, Tri and Eden.) The center of the ship was quite breathtaking with elegant restaurants -Truffies on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The food was outstanding with nice touches that included appetizers that you would normally never try. Of course, the Waiters (Richard’s team for our table) were excellent and highly organized as they promptly arranged individual meals requests with minimal interruption. Alternatively, there were plenty of self-serve kiosks open virtually all day on the 9th floor. I should add the dancing Waiter’s floor-show in the Truffies restaurant was a must see. If you are in for a relaxing time then this is the place to be, cruising around the Pacific Islands in one of the many pods or deck chairs - relaxing. Entertainment highlights were the evening shows; especially the magicians who had the traditional rope tricks and then something unique i.e. guessing what colours are being painted on the white board while blindfolded or the hypnotist who had everyone on the edge of their seat with just what will he do next. Very funny. Similarly, the 70’s and 80’s music shows were packed events especially Freddie Mercury' rendition. Shore excursions were what you wanted to make of them, as the time is limited. Plenty of options in Fiji – Suva/Nadi and the natural splendor of Maree with excellent beaches, and tropical fish in their home un- spoilt environment. A must see snorkeling experience. Overall, we certainly enjoyed our cruise beginning with the early morning stretch exercises - thank you Mohini and the opportunity to indulge and relax in the Sauna and Spa. Of course, if you ever felt guilty about all the exquisite foods on offer (Tiramisu cake you could not just walk past) then the Gym was the place to go although I have to admit there was always spare machines. Special thanks to Guest services for answering the various queries we had. (Thank you, Marcela and Sophia.) Christine, would also like to especially thank Angela for her Seven day treatment of Acupuncture and Cupping. Christine can feel a definite improvement now. Mike and Christine Read Less

This was a yearly holiday with my sisters, our second Cruise, first on the Spirit. We had the best time, the ship was in great condition, our cabin was cosy but comfortable and very clean, thanks to Cristina and Moh. The staff were very friendly. The dining in the Empire Room was amazing, we had excellent service with Kaur, I Madi and Goran, the food was delicious, there was not one meal we weren't happy with. The Showtime at 7 o'clock was so much fun and a Highlight. The dining in other areas was also excellent and the Serenity Bar was the place to go away from the kids (although we didn't have a problem with any of the children, most were very well behaved and polite). The staff all over the ship were very friendly, we only came across one grumpy one, he must have been tired and don't blame him as they all work so hard and long hours, we only saw him the once. The Ports and excursions were fantastic, except for one, the Mare Island was not one we would bother to go to again. Mystery Island seemed to be everyone's favourite. Loved all the Entertainment, (there was plenty of it, there's no way you could be bored). We met many new friends, including the Staff I have mentioned, we laughed, ate, drank and have great memories. We were sad when the cruise ended and are looking forward to our next Cruise as soon as possible. Read Less

Hi as a first time Cruiser this was a wonderful experience. We travelled as a family of 12 aged between 5yrs,16yrs to the 30's & 56 which was me. The Ship was absolutely beautiful & catered for all ages. The entertainment on board was fantastic & ranged from bingo, trivia games, karoake , craft days & health beauty seminars. There were cinemas which catered for many ages & live shows eg stand up comedian & even a Hypnotist . I took my 5 year old grandson to see the Hypnotist & he was in awe. A great show. We built a bear & my Grandbaby joined Kids club. We had 2 formal nights, a Mexican night & a 80's night. They were fantastic fun & to watch my children participate was good fun. They had pirate dress up & treasure hunt. The hairiest chest contest. The list goes on. My partner & I followed a singer called Rob who played 70's & 80's & performed a Johnny Cash & Neil Diamond show. The Red Frog Pub lounge was fantastic on level 2, Shanghi was great for the karaoke nights & the seminars took place there through the the days. The Serenity area on deck 9 was just so good to chill as no children allowed lol! The service from all the bars, dining extra was nothing but excellent. The dining room Empire on level 2 & 3 was truly amazing nothing but professional & silver service. Food was prepared well & tasted delicious . The Buffet was a little more hectic but still great food & good variety. Pizza was 24hrs a day & my family took full advantage of it. Especially my 2 sons. Pizza mad. Hamburgers were cooked from about 11am till 5pm & you could put just about anything you wanted on them. Ice ream was in endless supply. The Cabins were really beautiful & I am pleased we paid the extra to have a balcony. 2 of our group members got a balcony slightly obstructed views but their room was even better than ours. I was in awe of it & next time would happily have the obstructed view. You could see everything really just below was a lifeboat but who cares. Their room 5174 was slightly bigger & better quality carpet, benches etc. Bathroom was much nicer than ours. We were all on level 5. Rooms 5252,5254,5256 & 5174. I would take 5174 anytime it was cheaper & a nicer. Room service was perfect. Our rooms were cleaned immaculately & Wyman was nothing but friendly, helpful & cheery. He knew our names quickly & greeted us daily with his lovely welcoming disposition. Everyday we had a towel animal greet us when we came back to our rooms. I was so impressed I went to a seminar where they showed how to make an elephant & dog. I was wrapped as elephants are my favourite animal. We purchased the book so worth it! The places we ported were Noumea, Isle of Pines, Mare, Mystery Island & Port Vila. Noumea I would probably not revisit but a tip make sure you exchange money either on ship or at the markets where there is an exchange machine. I went into supermarket & couldnt use Aussie $. But the bar we sat at for awhile did accept our money. Beaches beautiful but not so friendly. Isle of Pines was paradise & the people were just lovely. Happy friendly & welcoming. Next port was Mare where my adult children went snorkelling . They loved it &a I enjoyed the markets. Mystery Island was my favourite it was just so pretty &I reminded me of a Rv show called Gillgans island. The beaches in all these ports were stunning. No seaweed & a blue colour that was just mind boggling. The waters were stunning. Mystery Island was cheapest for souviniers . Port Vila was great but a bit more overwhelming. Busy busy busy. The taxi driver that took us about were friendly, knowledgable & keen to show how they live. But the Duty free is fantastic. All the islanders were lovely couldn't fault them. The French in general were semi pleasant but some rather rude. Well that is most of my experiences I found it just the most extraordinary 12 days & loved my every moments & so glad I shared them with my family. ( Television needs a bit of adjustment for those who can't sleep or need to entertain a child. They need a channel just for children's movies & they need more movies than the 7 or 9 they kept showing. People who lack sleep need some in room entertainment . I suggest you download iPad with movies & take them along with you) Read Less

Just got back from a weekend cruise to nowhere on the Spirit, cannot highly recommend the ship enough. The staff are amazing, our cruise director Chloe was always around and mingling with the guests unlike a previous cruise director I have had. We were upgraded from an interior to a balcony cabin 5245 which had enough room for the two of us and the access bathroom was a great size! The dining room staff were attentive yet not overbearing Michael had some great dance moves on him! The staff who worked up at the buffet were friendly and helpful, along with the bar staff outside. JJ was a blast at bingo hope to have him again next time. The Park West crew were amazing and helpful, George was not only an excellent auctioneer but great for a laugh as well and did not ram Peter Max down our throats unlike a previous cruise. The housekeeping staff are amazing and such hard workers they deserve more praise than they ever get. Cannot wait to get back onboard and rejoin the carnival family. Read Less
