This was our third Transatlantic cruise with Carnival and by far the worst. If this had been our first Carnival cruise we'd never set foot again on a Carnival ship. The cruise got off to the worst possible start and never really recovered to an acceptable level. The only good thing about this trip was our room attendant! He was on it and got everything that we needed. But everything else sucked! All I can say is stay away from this ship. Very unorganized and confusing! Staff was rude. Dinners were awful! Buffet was cafeteria food! If you had a question you couldn't get it answered! Getting off the ship was a nightmare! The Carnival organization should be recognized for its ability to take a brand new ship and reduce it to a floating tribute to poor food, bad service and mediocre entertainment. The food was cheap, overcooked and boring. The only possible exception was breakfast where Carnival staff had nothing to do with boxed cereal, yogurt and some fruits. Toast was dry and cold. We chose to take the Vista's transatlantic re-positioning cruise because we found the travel itinerary of interest to us. The good: The Skyride. Had a great cruse 20 years ago. We always wanted to do it again. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!! Paid extra for a balcony cabin on deck 9. We had 8 out of 10 nights without sleep. Buffet area is directly above the cabins as is the main pool area with nightime activities. The cleaning ou these areas is done in the early hours of the morning. Chose this cruise cos we did carnival sunshine and it Was brill. What a contrast to this appalling bag of rubbish. From waiters in the restauraunt to entertainment staff it was rubbish. Just back from our 10 day cruise, can only say it was the worst holiday we have ever had, the ship is new and clean, the cabins are OK as long as you don't have any of the cabins around the 624 area they are just over the Disco, so you can forget sleep till after 3 in the morning.
